Have an archaeologicaltastic week Keith 👍
Cheers, Steve!
A lot of sights to capture beautiful photos. Looks like you did a lot of walking. It’s just right to refuel with Pizza and beer.
I did, Maria! A lot of pizza and beer too!
The right combo after all that walking
Ancient ruins in a modern world. I wonder if the modern world will survive as long.
Awaiting next week’s tour. 🙂
I somehow doubt it! I live near a Roman castle which is approaching its 2000th birthday, and it is still as solid as a rock!
Ah, che bedda Sicilia mia! Tanti grazzi, caru Keith. Era bonu per esse torna in casa.
Ah, this is my beautiful Sicily. Many thanks, dear Keith. It was good to be home again.
Grazie Nancy! La Sicilia è così bella. Altre foto la prossima settimana!

Wonderful photos! The light reflection off the sky gives a vibrant feel to the photos. The image in the cave is spectacular.
P. S. The pizza looks scrumptious!!
Great gallery Keith. I am enjoying your shares!
Thank you so much, Suzette. The cave was amazing, it was cool and very echoey (not sure that’s a word!) There’s nothing like enjoying a pizza in Italy!
You are a great photographer! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks, Patricia, it’s very photogenic which makes photography much easier!
Beautiful shots and yes I’m hungry for the pizza and the beer. Looks delicious.

What an incredible coincidence! Syracuse, old and new, was amazing, I’d happily live there! Apparently, it once rivalled Athens as the greatest city of the Greek world.

Just thinking about it makes me hungry! Cheers, Shiju.
Amazing! Seeing the size of those cave places with the little person is impressive. The town is also fascinating. Such a different life and culture and to live among all that history.
Ancient and modern. It’s amazing!
Fabulous places! Thank you for sharing these beautiful images!
Happy WW!
It certainly was, thank you Suzana.
Superbe fotografii. Frumoasa plimbare!

Great photos, as always. Syracuse has such a storied history, including Greek, Roman, and Italian periods.
And yes, your pizza photo does make me hungry 🙂
It was an ‘optional tour’ and I’m so glad I decided to tag along. As I said to Marie, Syracuse once rivalled Athens as the greatest city of the Greek world. I need a pizza – now!

We had such a lovely time there when the kids were little. Just a gorgeous town, as your photos reflect.
Really, that’s great, I adored it. Thanks, Lydia.
Fantastic tour, Keith! Thank you for sharing these amazing sights. Going to Taormina next? 🙂
How did you know that? Indeed we are, Savoka and Forta d’Agro too! Thanks for joining me, Debbie.
You mentioned The Godfather. 🙂 We were there in 2018. Neither Savoka nor Forta d’Agro were on our tour, though, so I’m looking forward to that travelogue.
You are an amazing photographer, Keith.

Happy Thanksgiving 🦃
That’s really kind of you, thanks so much.
