A Rosey moment!

Seeing the photo reminded me of something that happened about fifteen years ago just after my friend Rosey took up knitting. It was the day Knitwit was added to her collection of nicknames!

Let me read it to you!

.

Rosey winkIt was my friend Rosey’s turn to buy a round.  The pub was packed so she had to weave this way and that to get to the bar. 

Unbeknown to her, a stray strand of wool had become caught on her chair and her newly-knitted cardigan was gradually unravelling!

She took different route back dodging drinkers whilst carefully balancing a tray.

By the time she arrived, dozens of people had become entwined with pink wool and her cardy was the size of a bolero!

The sight of so many people twisting and turning to disentangle themselves is something I’ll never forget!

    She must have been intent on getting there not to notice the sudden breeze. 🙂 Great story, now that would be a memorable tale for anyone who was there at the time.

      Rosey often doesn’t notice what’s happening which makes her an ideal subject for storytelling!
