for Rochelle’s Friday Fictioneers photo prompt.
.
Seeing the photo reminded me of something that happened about fifteen years ago just after my friend Rosey took up knitting. It was the day Knitwit was added to her collection of nicknames!
.

.
Let me read it to you!
.
It was my friend Rosey’s turn to buy a round. The pub was packed so she had to weave this way and that to get to the bar.
Unbeknown to her, a stray strand of wool had become caught on her chair and her newly-knitted cardigan was gradually unravelling!
She took different route back dodging drinkers whilst carefully balancing a tray.
By the time she arrived, dozens of people had become entwined with pink wool and her cardy was the size of a bolero!
The sight of so many people twisting and turning to disentangle themselves is something I’ll never forget!

I hope she has long hair
Long enough!
She must have been intent on getting there not to notice the sudden breeze. 🙂 Great story, now that would be a memorable tale for anyone who was there at the time.
When she’s short of chardonnay, getting to the bar is the main focus of her attention!
Love the little frog expressions.
Thanks, playing around with graphics is as much fun as writing a story!
Haha! Yes it must be a sight never seen before. 😂
Never to be seen again, hopefully!
😜😉
How much of her is still covered?
Fortunately, the cardigan wasn’t the only thing she was wearing!
LOL! What a sight that must have been. Oh so fun Keith. I smile with delight at your excellent yarn.
Nice pun! It certainly was, thank goodness it only happened in my mind!
Excellent place for great weaving…in the mind.
Fun post Keith
Thanks, Di!
Heeheehee! She “spider webbed” the room.
I couldn’t put it better myself!
Rosey, Rosey, Rosey. What can I say? 😀
If you are familiar with My Friend Rosey, this will come as no surprise! Say no more!
It can happen. I hope she realises in time while she still has a wearable bolero.
She did and she preferred it to the cardigan!
This made me smile 🙂
Rosey has that effect on people! Thanks So much.
Lovely smiling story. All I can say is that Rosey has kept the drinking community together and bonding.
That’s whar Rosey does, in lots of different ways! Cheers, James!
Because I’m a knitter, I was SO sympathetic to poor Rosey! Too bad someone didn’t stop her before she lost most of her sweater!
They probably realised too late! Happy knitting, Linda.
😂
That’ll do nicely!
it must be a sight to behold. 🙂
A once-in-a-lifetime happening!
Hahaha – I could totally ‘see’ this!
At least you weren’t involved in it!
😀
Great memory for the storyteller. Well done.
Never to be forgotten! Thanks so much.
Oh Rosey, she is a funny one. 🙂 A wonderful way to bring (and keep) people together. It would be a very funny scene.
That’s true! Thanks, Brenda.
Dear Keith,
That’s hilarious! I can’t believe she didn’t notice what was happening. 😀
Shalom,
Rochelle
Rosey often doesn’t notice what’s happening which makes her an ideal subject for storytelling!
She was tying one on as she was removing another. Fun story, Keith. That Rosey keeps things interesting.
Life’s never dull when Rosey’s around! Thanks, Lisa.
You’re very welcome, Keith!
Poor Rosey. Lucky pub patrons!
Right on both counts!
Haha!! The old tangled web scenario. What great fun!
Literally! Thanks, Nancy.
LOL. It’s good to see Rosey’s back and still the same. Love the froggies, Keith.
I always enjoy a Rosey story.
