1I went for a stroll along part of The Cuckoo Trail the other afternoon. As well as walkers there were lots of cyclists and a couple of horses too. There are quite a few pictures, so if you’re short of time you might like to jump on your bike!

Thanks for leaving some snacks along the away. I thought you were being silly about the Cuckoo Trail until I scrolled back up and saw there really was a Cuckoo Trail. I really rarely mind scrolling back up, but this was a lengthy scroll up and then back down and the snacks weren’t that hearty. You might leave a note: Long Scroll or Short Scroll in the future.

On another subject: While I was posting in Jenne’s Unicorn Challenge a couple of days ago, I left a link to a pps I made called AsTheUnicornTurns. It is in my cloud. ceayr and jenne opened it.
It didn’t matter if no one noticed or opened. I notify you because you were mentioned in it. Here is the link if you so desire.

I hope I didn’t tire you out, I did place a warning about the number of pictures at the top!

I eventually managed to view your pps after being told several times I needed to renew my 365 subscription whatever that is, so I had to wait for some donations! The wait was worthwhile as I really enjoyed it!

      • ladysighs's avatar ladysighs October 5, 2023 / 18:04

I must take heed of the warning signs.
I didn’t know what a 365 subscription was and found out it was a magic-micro-costly-softy thingumajig. So pay up! as I might be offering some others pps on my blog. Dumb stuff that really never works. (no refund from me)
        Thanks!

Did you eat berries along the way? I grabbed a mulberry of a tree in the street when walking with a friend and she almost lost her mind. ‘How do you know it’s not poisonous?’ I thought she meant from the car pollution or it had been sprayed but she didn’t know what a mulberry was?? Then I worried it was toxic from the car emissions or it HAD been sprayed…but all was good!

Phew, that was a relief! I ate lots of blackberries and ended up with purple fingers. Fortunately, they were nowhere near a road!

Beautiful pictures. I especially like the first one of the tree trunks. You have a lovely place to meander.

Thanks, Patricia. Tree trunks can be really interesting, I love looking out for unusual ones.

What a delightful walk, it looks like the berries are growing very well this year, much appreciated by the wildlife I’m sure.

Lovely walk! Our berries like that—we call them dewberries—become ready in June.

I love berries. A few days ago I gathered lots of sloes for making my favourite tipple, Sloe Gin!

It’s a 14-mile trail which was once a railway line. It’s lovely having it nearby.

I considered the bike ride idea, but I opted for a relaxed stroll through your photos and found it enjoyable.
