I remember going to a posh restaurant in DC and when my grandson asked for ketchup, they told us that they don’t serve ketchup! 😱

If it’s this one place I’ve heard about – a fancy burger joint(?) they will kick you out of you bring ketchup or anything to taint their food. I read about this somewhere. And thought, nope. LOL. Much rather go to this restaurant!

The boyfriend of a work colleague had tomato ketchup on everything………… even his Sunday roast dinner with gravy…………… and I thought ex partner was bad with brown sauce but at least he didn’t put it on a roast dinner!

I had a college friend who used to adulterate his roast chicken with vinegar and curry sauce from the local Chinese (yes, Chinese) restaurant. To be fair, I don’t think it would have made the taste of the roast chicken any worse. I’m sure the birds were all fed on fishmeal.

That sounds awful Penny! As he likes vinegar he’d probably enjoy Connie’s next visit, the Vin au Gare!

    Dear Keith,

This made me laugh out loud. Actually the place was a barbecue restaurant. Very astute that you caught the group of Santas. We actually did, too. Our friend John is a professional Santa who assembled the group years ago. This was their first get together in two years. We were so happy to see our buddy. 😀

Love your story and your delightful reading.

    Shalom,

    Rochelle

It’s surprising what you see when you enlarge a picture on the screen! As barbecue restaurants go, that looks like a pretty special one. I feel some ribs coming on!

Their burnt ends weren’t too bad. Of course seeing a friend I hadn’t seen in quite a while made it even better. 😀

Mr. Tom Ketch sure knows his business. I love it, the breathless fake excitement of the journalist/presenter included.

Good point, it does cancel out the flavour of whatever it’s squirted on. So why do I like it so much?

I think there is too much sauce in this story, some people have simple tastes. I like the occasional HP Brown sauce on my mince–not too much, just a dab.
