Most of us have a special piece of music. A piece that touches the very depth of our soul and transports us far away from the stresses and pressure of our crowded lives. It may last but a few minutes, but to sit back with closed eyes as it wraps us in a soft blanket of peace and tranquillity is a moment in time well spent.
Mozart died in 1791 before finishing his Requiem Mass in D Minor, and the task of completing it was given to a friend and student. The piece he was composing when he passed was the beautiful Lacrimosa, three and a bit minutes of contemplative ecstasy.

I remember that music from 2001: A Space Odyssey and The Godfather, but did not know it was Mozart.
