I’m a bit pushed for time as I’m preparing to head off with my tent for a few days, so I’ve re-written a story I posted in 2015. I’ll do my best to read everyone’s stories if I manage to find wifi somewhere!
.
.
If only I’d had two minutes more I would have caught that bus. I would have made it to the shop before it closed. I’d have bought some delicious wine, a microwave meal and some yummy chocolate then caught the bus home again. Right now I’d be sitting with my feet up watching my favourite programme.
As it is, I’m drinking tepid skimmed milk and eating a tasteless plate of food while watching the eight-o-clock news about someone running down a road, tripping on a kerb, getting run over by a bus and ending up in hospital.
Nurse, a bedpan, please!
Thanks to Rochelle for hosting and to Dale for the photo.
Poke Froggie very gently to join in the fun!
Sounds blissful

I’ll remember that for next time! The farthest north I’ve camped is beside Loch Lomond! This time I’m going to bake down here in the far South!

Dear Keith,
I love the way you told the story of what happened. I guess hospital food isn’t any better on your side of the pond than it is here. 😉 Well done.
Shalom,

I think I will! I booked it ages ago when there was no telling what weather I’d experience! Fortunately, I only have a shortish drive to Salisbury.

Unexpectedly seeing yourself on television could be strange, especially if you have no recollection of what happened!

That’s a clever angle for your story. And have fun on holiday. It’s really hot over there, so slip slop slap, as we say here. Take care.

Thanks so much. It was just a few days, and I’m back now. It was bit on the hot side, but not as hot as predicted for today and tomorrow!!
