Oy, you clumsy clot, look what you’ve done!
Ooops, sorry about that.
You should look where you’re going!
Guess what I bumped into the other day.
No idea, what?
Everything, which is why I’ve decided to get some glasses!
You should have eaten more carrots when you were young.
Why?
Because they contain vitamin see!
As well as sight there are four other senses, touch, smell, hearing, and, erm, it’s on the tip of my tongue…..!
Nonsense in your case!
Seriously though, I need to get going.
Why, what are you doing today?
Collecting my glasses, then…… I’ll see!

Dear Keith,
A very inSIGHTful dialogue. On the other hand some people are just natural klutzes. 😉 Made me smile.
Shalom,
Rochelle

Sadly I need to replace mine, but I’m living in a delusional denial of soft edges around everything at the moment. Good stuff

I’m having the dreaded eye test next week, for me it’s not just the edges are soft right now!

Is the carrot thing still a thing parents say to their kids?
Fun story – thanks Keith.

I don’t know. We really believed it years ago!

You are right, Keith. Parents were once the font of all knowledge so it was never questioned when I was a child.

Keith – humor comes so esy for you – I know I say that often – but love your play on words and humor –
and by the way, vitamin see, I mean vitamin C in carrots – did you hear about how the myth was started?
I heard when English folks began using radar in WWII – they had to come up with reasons why their pilots were doing so well and started the carrot myth about it being good for vision

The playful puns, the cheeky jabs, the “vitamin see” twist—it all works together like a lighthearted comedy sketch. This is the kind of humor that brightens the moment without trying too hard, the sort that makes people chuckle and say, “Alright, that was clever.” And truly, we need more of that kind of joy, for “a cheerful heart doeth good like a medicine” (Proverbs 17:22). I enjoyed your words very much.
