Silly Billy’ll believe anything. His mates love taking advantage of Gullibilly’s gullibility; telling him something’s happened that hasn’t, getting him to pass on nonsensical messages!
He’s bought a Satnav/GPS thingamajig. Even ‘the voice’ has joined in the fun; turn right instead of left, that kinda thing.
Yesterday ‘the voice’ jokingly drove him into a forest, ‘right at the oak, around the anthill, down the slope’, etcetera!
The car got stuck in some mud so he abandoned it. Now he’s forgotten where in the forest it is!
If you see it, tell me and I’ll let him know, or maybe…..!

Frod Froggie to visit the squares!

Fun story, sad end for the old car.
It is, what a shame!
I can related to GPS misdirection..! Hopefully Billy is wiser now…having learned not to trust everything he hears on face value. Love your artwork. Awesome.
It’s about time Billy caught on!
I’m pleased you like my graphic, as usual it took longer to create than did the story!
Yes, I hope so
I enjoy your artwork, and it always brings me a smile. Thank you, Keith.
I wondered how it got there, now I know. So funny, Gullibilly’s gullibility, and the satnav joining in on the fun.
Indeed you do! Thanks so much.,Lisa.
You’re welcome.
Never did trust those newfangled things
I have a love/hate relationship with mine!
sillybilly went down that hilly and now he’s just an american hillbilly.
Nice one, Bethilly!
You did a great job as usual with this photo prompt, Keith! Not a good day for that guy, though.
He’s had better! Thanks, Rene.
You’re most welcome!
How did we ever get from here to there without ‘the voice’ telling us which way to go? Fun read, dear Keith.
I used to use something called a map – it wasn’t much help though, I forever had it the wrong way round or upside down!
I remember those! They were a bit like papyrus in my glove box.
Yes, I can’t help feeling there’s a touch of exasperation in the voice of my satnav. I wouldn’t put it past her…
I guess you have to feel a little sorry for them, it’s not a job I’d want!
Dear Keith,
Poor Billy. Ya gotta have compassion on a guy like that when even technology makes sport of him. Funny.
Shalom,
Rochelle
Absolutely, that could so easily have been me knowing my Satnav!
Haha! GPS does it for real too.
Mine has a wicked sense of humour!
Haha! 😆
We’ve all had those moments with the gps, but it sounds like Billy took it too far. Will he learn though?
This Billy won’t I fear!
on the contrary, i can’t drive without having a gps anymore. 🙂
At least it’s someone to chat with when driving alone!
Oh i think i saw it down the lane upon turning right. Left and then right if you are coming from the other side 😛
Oh, that’s where it is, I’ll tell Billy!
😀
I’m with Billy – you just can’t trust those Satnavs – that’s how they get their fun – misdirection – great story Keith 🙌😃
Don’t I just know it! Mine once sent me miles down a narrow lane then told me to ‘about turn at the first opportunity’!
😅
Humour and cruelty in the same box.
Comedy and tragedy ~ way of life ~ don’t have GPS and don’t want one ~ lol
great story ! thanks

Well written
Ahh… shame – poor Billy.
Poor Gullibilly! It is hard to make it when even the synthetic voices are leading you astray!
Poor Billy. Never trust GPS and your closest friends evidently. I love “Gullibilly’s gullibility.” I can be a bit gullible at times as well. Entertaining tale, Keith!
Orwell left this part out of 1984.. Silly George
Those things are possessed.
