For Wordless Wednesday and bloghops various!

One of our town’s most beautiful places is Highwoods, somewhere we can commune with nature away from the hustle and bustle of the seafront and streets!
I appologise in advance for the number of pictures, I didn’t know which ones to dump!
We are going to do the blue walk. Off we trot!

Lovely selection. We miss our trips to the woods, but since the Forestry Commission devastated it, it’s lost its soul. Woods with no birdsong is so upsetting.
Oh no, that’s such a shame. I’d hate the thought of something like that happening to ours
It was awful when we left in 2014. We went back after we returned to Lincolnshire and none of the promised replacement trees were present. It was the lack of birdsong as they had destroyed so many habitats.
So sad.
oh, I so love the woods and those who protect them
There’s quite a team that looks after Highwoods, mostly volunteers.
I would have done the blue walk too. Beautiful.
Thank you for hosting the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday and rest of the week, Keith. 🙂
It’s quite an effort in places but well well worth it!
Lovely, dear Keith! And I feel totally relaxed! 🤤
I was relaxed metally but a little weary physically – not that Im complaining of course!
WONDERFUL paths, ferns and the diverse trees! Great trunks in design and texture
it’s amazing, some trees look like works of art!
yes – and you showed that – along with so many variety in their expression and line designs
The bark that is spotted is very interesting! And the one that looks like bones, skeleton from some ancient creature (not human) also fascinated me. Thanks for the share!
I quite agree, Rene!
Oh it’s grand when men and women agree!😉
😊
This photo tour was an absolute delight. I feel refreshed from your photos of the trails. Really enjoyed the share, Keith. Thanks so much.
I’m so pleased you enjoyed it, Suzette!
I would so enjoy a walk in the woods right now, and you’ve given me a virtual one, thank you. It was quite pleasant.
The pleasure’s mine, Mimi!
Great way to mark trails!
It is, without the splodges you’d easily get lost!
That was a lovely walk through the woods. I like to see the different textures and shapes as they grow. The steps looked very much like a railway track.
It’s a lovely place. Every time I walk up those steps I think of railways tracks!
There are some gnarly trees, interesting walkways and that pond of water didn’t look very inviting, otherwise it looks like a typical woods walk around here too.
Not a pond I’d swim in, but the woodland creatures love it!
What a wonderful visual journey. Thank you for the walk, Keith!
Thanks for joining me Shiju!
Lovely, lush green trees and vegetation.
Thanks, Sadje, it will look very different in a couple of months time when the trees shed their leaves.
Yes, t hats true.
Looks like a lovely trip through the woods. It’s so lush, it reminds of the woods where I grew up just north of New York City.
It’s lovely, I’m so lucky to have it nearby.
Beautiful series of photos of the woods ~ such a treasure ~ thanks,
an artist reflects
Treasure indeed. Thank you, Carol.
The trees are so beautiful there
They are, and it’s wonderful the way they change with the seasons.
Well done Keith – lots of ‘must’ this year … and there are berries that are obvious (that I see) – so many this year. It looks in quite good order – not too stressed by the summer of sun. Cheers – loved the pics – Hilary
Thanks Hilary, despite the lack of rain throughout the summer, they wood’s survived pretty well!
