…for Rochelle’s Friday Fictioneers on a Wednesday!
.
.
.
We were on a journey. Sally was driving while I listened to the radio, phone in hand.
‘For your chance to win £1000 in the Big Quiz text 565656’, said the DJ.
I’d texted every day hoping to become the chosen one.
Ring-ring!
I couldn’t believe it, I got a call back from the radio station, it was my turn!
‘Question 1…correct, 2…correct, 3…correct, 4…’
Silence. We’d driven into a tunnel. No radio. No phone.
As we emerged, the radio crackled back to life.
‘It seems we lost John. Hi, Jenny, let’s see if you can win that £1000’.

That’s the thing with the tunnels on the way to Brisbane airport…the signs say ‘turn on your radio’ but there’s no reception, just crackle!
Great story, Keith 🙂💸💸💸
