What a fascinating town! We have historic Hastings about 20 minutes from us, but it is nothing special, and definitely nothing as amazing and adorable as your Hastings! Love all the photos and the old buildings.

Hi Keith – what a great selection … and you picked a good day to take those photos … cheerful views. I enjoyed Churchill’s ‘Buy Cigars’ sign … well and the others … particularly Cloudsley Shovell who notoriously went down with his ship, off the Scilly Isles, and 1400 passengers (people perhaps would be a better description – not many passengers per se). Wonderful Cheese wedge building … well done – inspired a few to visit perhaps. Cheers Hilary

Oh and Seagate – I enjoyed finding out about that … thanks … H

Thanks, Hilary. I’d not walked up there for ages, needless to say nothing’s changed! I didn’t know that about Admiral Shovell. The cheese building is lovely, the rooms must be a very odd shape! I also investigated Seagate, I had no idea!

Thanks so much. The Old Town is great, but the rest of Hastings is very different, and not in a good way!

What a cute town! The storefronts remind me a bit of some of the old towns we have here in “the states”, but the Tudor architecture of the buildings is definitely British – and also quite the opposite of my WW this week 🙂

It is like stepping back in time! You are right, it couldn’t be more different from the appartment block that you phorographed!

Thanks for helping us get around, Keith. I loved the shopping experience. The pies and pints got me but it would be a pint of ice cream for me 😁
