Not so humble abodes hehe. I just want to wear a flowing gown and run around these homes and their gardens.

England is not lacking for such “demure” abodes, is it? Lovely!!

I tell myself that every time I return from a trip – only my home’s nothing like any of those!!

Wonderful photos, Keith. I love the lush greenery and lovely gardens! Beautiful architecture too!
P.S. I believe I saw a few episodes of “Last of the Summer Wine” here (Canada) long time ago.

Thanks, Suzette. I ran for 35 years and still I watch an episode very night, even though I’ve seen all 700 several times before!

Wow, 35 years is more than most shows survive in numbers of episodes. Amazing!!

Such beautiful and amazing places and then in the midst of it all, the scarecrows. We love how you placed them in the middle of all the photos too. It all looks very British and classic.

Great photos! Humble abodes indeed 😸

I love the exterior architecture and the gardens. I like the balance of very manicured gardens and ones that have been allowed to get a bit overgrown. They both provide interesting contrasts to the architecture.

The gaudy interiors…are not really my style. You can probably tell from my photography/WWs that I’m more into modern and minimal designs 🙂

So many gardens, so many styles! I’m into minimalism too, but things were very different back in the times these rooms were decorated.

Hi Keith – wonderful photos – gorgeous gardens to go with those ‘humble abodes’ – not sure about Nora Batty’s but the rest … it’s always great to wander around some of those estates – cheers Hilary
