Grand places. Thanks for sharing these beautiful pictures
My pleasure, Sadje.
🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Not so humble abodes hehe. I just want to wear a flowing gown and run around these homes and their gardens.
…as many did back in the day I’m sure!
England is not lacking for such “demure” abodes, is it? Lovely!!
Certainly not, you are never far from one here!
I bet!
There’s no place like home! Gorgeous, Keith! 🏡
I tell myself that every time I return from a trip – only my home’s nothing like any of those!!
Wonderful photos, Keith. I love the lush greenery and lovely gardens! Beautiful architecture too!
P.S. I believe I saw a few episodes of “Last of the Summer Wine” here (Canada) long time ago.
Thanks, Suzette. I ran for 35 years and still I watch an episode very night, even though I’ve seen all 700 several times before!
Wow, 35 years is more than most shows survive in numbers of episodes. Amazing!!
Such beautiful stately homes. I would love to explore each and every one of them. Great shots. You do the coolest things.
Thank you for hosting the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday and rest of the week, Keith. ☺
Thanks, Sandee. It’s great to turn back the clock now and again!
I agree great captures of stately homes they look very grand what a collection 🙂
Have a statelytastic week Keith and thanks for hosting 👍
Cheers, Steve. Thanks to the National Trust, they are all in pristine condition
These are wonderful.
…even more so up close and inside!
Oh I’m certain they are.
So many beautiful homes! Although I’m happy with my smaller place, these are lovely to visit.
Me too Mimi!
wow, beauties!
I’ve seen lots more too!
That is magnificent! So gorgeous. And you captured it beautifully
Thanks Lydia. I have a folder filled with pictures for each of them!
Some amazing looking homes Keith. I like the scarecrows.
Thanks, Tony, they do look happy!
Such beautiful and amazing places and then in the midst of it all, the scarecrows. We love how you placed them in the middle of all the photos too. It all looks very British and classic.
Thanks, I thought they deserved a spot!
Wow, so very cool and beautiful. Love them. Amazing houses. Thanks for sharing them.
They are amazing, I’m so pleased to enjoyed seeing them.
Great photos! Humble abodes indeed 😸
I love the exterior architecture and the gardens. I like the balance of very manicured gardens and ones that have been allowed to get a bit overgrown. They both provide interesting contrasts to the architecture.
The gaudy interiors…are not really my style. You can probably tell from my photography/WWs that I’m more into modern and minimal designs 🙂
So many gardens, so many styles! I’m into minimalism too, but things were very different back in the times these rooms were decorated.
Haha, humble abodes indeed! Loving the historic gems.
You’re right, they’re not that humble!
Hi Keith – wonderful photos – gorgeous gardens to go with those ‘humble abodes’ – not sure about Nora Batty’s but the rest … it’s always great to wander around some of those estates – cheers Hilary
I certainly get my money’s worth from my National Trust membership!
Great pics!
These photos are stunning, Keith! Each stately home feels like a journey through time. Thanks for sharing these beautiful glimpses of British heritage!
