“I was finkin’,” said Fred – “that makes a change!” joked Geoff – “as I was sayin’, a few thoughts crossed my mind after last Friday’s karaoke night when most people sang different notes from the tune, and it occurred to me that we should form a core, because that’s what they do”.
“What’s a core, for goodness sake?” asked Arthur – “it’s where people sing a song together, some sing the main tune and the others a slightly different one, it called harmonisizing I believe,” said Fred
“I think he means a choir, c-w-y-e-r, and I know all about them,” said Colin, “it’s people singing in harmony, for instance, Geoff could be a bass, Arthur an auto, Tony a soprano, Suzie a something-or-other and Bill, a tenner, what do you think?
“I think you mean a ten-or” grunted farmer Bill, “but there’s no way I can reach high notes and I’m definitely not yodelling, I’m a shepherd, not a lonely goatherd”.
“You don’t have to yodel, you sing in … what’s it called? … oh yes, focaccia”, said Colin; “I think you mean falsetto,” shouted Tony, “not focaccia” – “I’ll have none of that language in my pub” yelled Landlord Len.
Think yourself lucky you weren’t there to witness what happened next; Fred plucked a bamboo cane from a plant pot, held it aloft, told everyone to stand, then on the count of three they attempted to sing My Way… their way; feeling ‘All Shook Up’, I left the building, uh-huh!

Heeheehee! As I tell the choir director at church, my Sweetie sings in the choir and I help the choir by not singing. It sounds the same here.
That’s brilliant, Mimi!!!

Thanks, Maria!
Oh no. Thank you. So many times I feel so stressed and then I read your posts and I find myself being relaxed and laughing. Thank you for the laughs, Keith.
