At this point I would normally have included an audio, but I’ve got a bit of a cold and I’d hate to pass it on to you so I’m afraid you’ll have to do withou.…taaa-chooo!

Two lonely souls in a fishbowl,
Swimming the opposite way.
Passing twice a day.
Nights he worked, she slept.
Days she worked, he slept.
Day after night after day.
One lonely soul in a fishbowl.
Swimming round and round.
Day after night after day.

Btw, ‘we’re just two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl, year after year’ is a line from Pink Floyd’s song Wish You Were Here.
Lol…so kind of you to not pass on your cold…via audio transmission .. 🤣🤣
Keith, your story described quite a few people I knew in real life when I was growing up. They were working hard to make ends meet, so that their families could have a better quality of life. Thank you for the reminder that work is not all sunshine, rainbows and ease. 👍
Oh and… bless you! I thought I heard you sneeze 🤕

Thanks for your comment Suzette, I also know of some who got their priorities wrong. But I can’t thank you for blessing me because apparently, if I do, a fairy will die!

The “Like” button doesn’t do it. There should be a “LOVE IT!” button. BLAMMO!

Wow, what can I say? I rarely attempt poetry and always wonder what the reaction will be when I do. I wasn’t expecting a comment such as this!
