It sparkled, it twinkled, it splashed, it roared.

I sat and let my mind wander, it took me to places, special places. The longer I sat the more soothed I felt. The aroma assaulted my senses, just as it does now.

As I left, I felt like a new person, contented….”

“What are you going on about, all you did was flush the toilet!

Ha, you never disappoint Keith. I suppose if you close your eyes, splash a bit of tap water on your face, and flush, you might just recreate the ambience!

Well, there’s one thing about it: a trip to the bathroom’s a lot cheaper than to the Falls. Glad he’s finding pleasure in the little things of life. 🙂

Very true Christine! There’s pleasure in most things if you know where to look!

Good description completed by a lovely twist, Keith. Clever work writing the parallels between Victoria Falls and a flush of the loo without giving away the twist.

Heeheehee! As Grandma (my mother, my children’s grandmother) likes to say when she is done in the restroom, “I feel better all over more than anyplace else!”

Well, that made me go back and reconsider what kind of aroma there was! Awesome twist.

So, the aroma assaulted your senses? Well, passing on Vitoria Falls then. (I knew it was coming. I just didn’t know what.) Funny twist, Keith. 🙂

Gosh, Keith, you left us laughing our heads off. “

    The aroma assaulted my senses…””
(Unfortunately in this case it was another kind !!!)

I’m going to use that phrase with your permission. 😄😄

Mmmm. I like how the sense of peace comes across and the idea of appreciating the enormous power of waterfalls. The humour at the end simply wipes away the tranquility. (I trust you used paper and not wet wipes).

One has to have a strategy to fill up the time at such moments. Yours sounds wonderful – quite a diversion. It’s a shame you had to come thudding back to reality at the end. Great story – funny twist.

Keith, what a perfect illustration of how the creative mind works. You made me cackle which made Mlady and Dotty look at me.

Glad you pointed me in the right direction to find you. Enjoyed your journey sparked by the swell/swirl of your waterfall.
