aaa11Claud never sought marriage. But that’s not to say he knows not love.  Oh no.

She stands in the corner of the boudoir. He gazes longingly at her. Her flowing curves, her slender neck. He‘s overcome with passion. Slowly he strolls toward her then tenderly takes her in his arms. He caresses her, strokes her and she softly hums a tune.

Tomorrow, they go away on tour. In halls and theatres, they’ll entrance and captivate their audiences with their love for one another.

For it is said,  the cello bears the closest sound to a human voice.

Play on Claud, play on.

Music is the heart of romance. And some cello music can be quite seductive.

It is, and it certainly can be which is exactly what led me to write this piece. Thanks Gail.

I used to own a tattoo shop. One of my tattooists played the cello. She would bring it in and play it when she had no clients. So, we had cello accompaniment every day. It was awesome.

It’s my favourite string instrument. Always sounds a bit mournful somehow. Nice write, Keith👌

I love this. You really had me fooled.
I remember the first time I saw Jacqueline du Pré play the cello. She was totally one with the instrument. I’d love to see the ballet about her music. Her cello was a male dancer.

Ooh, just found the ballet on YouTube! Excellent! Thank you for the inspiration.

She is amazing and inspired many to take up the instrument. I wasn’t aware of the ballet, I’ll be looking it up. Thanks, Jenne.

Me too. It has become a more popular instrument for young people to learn in recent years.

When my friend’s daughter started taking cello lessons, the instrument was almost as big as her. It was so fun to see her playing the instrument. Weekends In Maine

I fell in love with the sound of the cello late, but I think it will be enduring. Lovely piece, Keith! 🙂

I fell in love with the cello, love at first note, when I was about 5 years old. I played for many years, but sadly don’t pick it up very often any more. But then my daughter chose to learn cello, so I had many years of her music, too. =)
