A short story …

for Ragtag Daily Prompt which today is hosted by Christine. The given word is Amber.

ddddddddd

I pour a little into my special glass. I raise it to my nose and as I inhale, I’m transported to a field of freshly mown hay, wildflowers and heather. I lift it to the light, twist it in my hand and watch as the amber nectar sparkles, glows and …

Sorry, did you say something?

Am I going to drink it?

NO!  It’s washing up liquid. Now shove off, otherwise you’ll have to help me clean this load of dirty crockery, cutlery and glasses.

Yes, very clever…leading us on like that. And very clever with the graphic design, too!
I’ve wished for a better (read flashier) title font, but can’t figure out how to get it. 🙁

      Thanks so much, Christine.

For my titles, I use 1001 Fonts. Choose one that suits your story, write what you want, save it as an image then add it as you would a photo. https://www.1001fonts.com/

Heeheehee! My washing up liquid doesn’t smell or look so nice as this one, but i will admit my laundry detergent does smell like wildflower fields, and i do enjoy the scent probably more than i should.

I’m a serial sniffer and it’s surprising how nice some of the most unlikely things smell!
