for Sammi’s Weekend Writing Prompt where the given word is Ultimatum which we have to use along with sixty-one others!

Jonny flung his school bag on the floor.
“What’s up?” his sister asked.
“We had to write a story using this stupid word”. ‘Ultimatum’ was scribbled on a scrunched-up scrap of paper.
“So?”
“I wrote about a robot”.
“That’s an automaton” she giggled!
“So, what’s it mean then? I’ve gotta write it again or get detention”
“That’s an ultimatum” chuckled his sister!

.
Well done, Keith!
Thanks so much Dale!
“That’s clever!” chuckled this reader.

Indeed! Thanks so much Shweta.
Hi Keith – oh yes … understanding ‘words’ … I’d quite like an ultimatum for the rain at the moment! Cheers Hilary
Me too – I’m staying put today!
Hilarious!
Thanks Reena.
Dear Keith,
This made me giggle. Very clever!
Shalom,

…as I hoped it might! Thanks Rochelle.
This was delightful and realistic … 😉 Loved the exchange! (and I always get a chuckle out of homophones or close-homomphones and how children often mistake them …. 🙂
Me too! Delighted you enjoyed it Na’ama.
🙂 I did! 🙂
Good one Keith! Thanks for sharing 🙂
Thanks Jen.
You’r welcome Keith
Heeheehee! There’s his story right there. Of course, if he gets caught plagiarizing from you, i’ll bet that’s detention worthy as well.
A very good point! I’ll keep an eye on him!
Well we learn from our mistakes. Great story
Indeed we do. Thanks Sadje
