A-Z Challenge Day 2

Post 1642. Monday April 2

Rosey looked into Gareth’s eye and smiled. He smiled back and gave her a loving wink. Yes, I did say eye not eyes, because one was hidden behind a patch.

She was introducing him to us over a cappuccino at Starbucks. Apparently, Rosey was shopping in the supermarket and someone asked if she knew where the wine was. Silly question! Well, Rosey spun around, and pointed towards what she calls Alcohol Avenue and in the process poked a young man in the eye. At the time he was studying a display of reading glasses. Rather than apologise, she said she hoped they had a range of fashionable monocles!

It seems it was love at first sight. At least it was for her; it was a minute or so before Gareth managed to regain any kind of sight at all!

Gareth seems a nice guy. He’s an accountant which will no doubt please her father. He has a sense of humour which pleases us! Whether or not he’ll be on the scene for long I don’t know; Rosey’s relationships tend to be pretty short lived. I will, of course, keep you informed!

If it lasts, it’ll be a great meeting story for their grandkids lol

    Thanks for the laugh, Keith.
I’d have to say, I love Rosey and i admire Gareth’s sense of humour.🙂 For him, it could easily be said ‘ love is almost blind’. Superb story!

I hope Gareth realises what he is letting himself in for – he should be able to read the signs, even with one eye! Chuckling away Keith 🙂

I bet Rosey has left behind a trail of boyfriends she met when she accidentally stepped on toes, poured drinks on laps, and poked guys in the eye. Gareth might want to wear protective glasses and boots when out with her 🙂

Not sure, she can be very hard work! Great to see you back again Shilpa. I am an avid traveller as you can see from my sidebar, so your travel related theme is especially interesting to me.

Rosey seems to be quite some ‘lady’ … and obviously used to all kinds of situations – ready with a smile, a reason etc … I look forward to seeing more of her relationship with Gareth – cheers Hilary

He just may be a keeper after putting up with an eye-poke

That was a happy read. Curious to know where will this relationship take Rosy, in life ahead!

Whether it lasts or not, one thing is for sure – they’ll have fun whilst they are together

It’s a good thing Gareth has a sense of humor… I have a feeling he will need it if he hangs around Rosey.

A sense of humour is a requirement when you make friends with Rosey! Not that I’m complaining, our lives would be a lot less fun without her! Thanks, Trudy

I’m not sure I would forgive a poke in the eye so easily! I look forward to hearing how things turn out.

Everyone forgives Rosey for everything! She has that effect on people. Cheers!

Ha! Nice story, Keith. I especially liked “love at first sight–at least for her.” 🙂

He may just last – since he’s still winking at her despite her accidental actions.
