One of the main reasons for my visit was to attend an Andre Rieu concert at The Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi. Thanks to my son Tim, we had seats fairly close to the stage!

Last week I took you for a wander around The Louvre Museum in Abu Dhabi. While I was there, I couldn’t resist taking pictures of its amazing dome ceiling!

‘Pierchic’ is an  award-winning waterfront restaurant on the private pier of Jumeirah Al Qasr in Dubai. We had an Italian meal there!

We came across this ‘thing’ which viewed from the left says one thing… .

…and from the right, another!

Clever eh?

I’ll leave you with three videos – feel free to stand up, sing and jump around to the first one – I did, which explains why it’s a bit dodgy!

.

…ah, the Beautiful Blue Danube. It reminded me of my river cruise a couple of years ago!

Finally, some jazz!

That’s it folks, thanks for dropping by!

Incase you missed them, these are pictures from my trip  that I posted over the last few weeks –

It looks like such an interesting and beautiful place. When Mom lived in Germany Andre Rieu was so big and always on TV. He is a wonderful conductor.

He’s constantly on TV here, but nothing compares to seeing his orchestra live!

Thanks for these – I don’t know as much about Abu Dhabi as Dubai. I, too, am captivated by that domed ceiling.

Hi Keith – yes what an amazing time and concert to be able to go to; your waistcoat looks very smart; while the Louvre dome reminds me vaguely of the Birmingham Library … (I did post in Oct 2015) – lucky you … looks to have been lots of fun – cheers Hilary

    • Keith's Ramblings's avatar Keith's Ramblings April 11, 2024 / 17:02

Several strangers commented on my waistcoat, which I found a little odd! Fun it was Hilary, six days of one experience after another.

My brother has a friend who is very fond of similar waistcoats … they brighten a man’s outward appearance up … not suited and booted! Cheers H
