With over a hundred cookery books, you’d think finding a recipe would be easy. It’s not. Scrolling through three-thousand recipes takes ages.
I chose one to impress my guest, Gourmet Gloria. Kotopoulo me patates sto fourno, chicken and spuds to you and me.
It was well underway when she arrived. She walked in and said, ‘I smell fowl’. I said, ‘well spotted, fowl indeed. Chicken, in fact.
‘No’, she said, ‘I stink, I trod in some poo on your path, you really should clear up after your dog’.
‘My fault for getting a Shih Tzu’, I said, ‘fancy a Dirty Martini?’

Those dishes sound delicious, Keith. The dog poo? That’s really disgusting. Nice story! 👍
Thanks so much, Aptivi!
At least there were no dirty jokes to offend your audience.
That’s true, Len!
Hahaha!! Patates sto poo poo!
Oh yes! Cheers, Dale.
Heeheehee! You are clever.
…and you are very kind!
Oh, what word play we weave.
Why not? Thanks, James.
It’s always cause for celebration when you get to use the poo emoji. Funny story, Keith 🙂

I am having so many problems with WP of late – I’m even considering going back to Blogger
Hahaha!! Hilarious!!
That’s what I like hear! Thanks, Nancy,
in baseball, we’d cry ‘foul’ when the ball is out of bounds. i think that fits here as well
Of course, you’re quite right, Beth
😆Still giggling here – great tale Keith🙌 🤣
I’m pleased! Thanks, Ange.
The narrator rallied well to the situation, countering pun with pun
That’s what he like to do – I should know!
hopefully, he didn’t chicken out of the challenge.
Haha, no, he certainly didn’t! Cheers plaridel
Lots of dirty banter. I wonder how the evening progressed?
Thanks, James, I can’t even imagine!
Some way to welcome a guest… But I guess dirty martini makes up for it.
Have a good day Keith. 🙂
That’s what I thought! Thanks so much.
Haha! Clever writing
Thank you, Sadje
Most welcome Keith
Dear Keith,
Nice play on words. Arf and poo to you, too. 😉
Shalom,
Rochelle
I beg your pardon? Thanks, Rochelle.
Ahaha, you do know how to skillfully dish up the puns, Keith. I love the elegant menu (in Greek) and the dog! Brilliant.
Thank you, I try my best, Suzette!
Tee-hee good one, Keith!
LOL
Wonderful play on words as always. My mother-in-law’s standard for visiting guests was kotopoulo me patates sto fourno even when it was over 30 degrees C!
