Why did I let her persuade me? She knows I get seasick.
Right. Mind over matter. I won’t be sick, I won’t be sick, I will not be – woooo!
Hold on to the rail. Tight. That’s better. I’m OK now. Oh, no no no, we are going down – eeeeeeek – now we are going up – oooooo – I left my tummy behind!
Oh, watch out, the boom’s swinging across, duck!
That’s better, we’re going in a different direction, we’re not rolling sooooo much nowwwwwwwww – wrong – help….!
Oh thank goodness. We’re heading baaaaack, we’ll soon be there, breathe, breathe…
Weeee! Woooo! Bluuuuh – SPLAT!

Prod poor Froggie to see the squares!

What a coincidence? Yesterday I posted pictures of a very angry sea – if you didn’t see them, they’re HERE!
Thanks to Rochelle for hosting Friday Fictioneers

Unfortunately, this is me. And as luck would have it, I married an angler!
Oh no! I’m guessing you never went on fishing expeditions!
Actually, I did, but they never ended very well. 🤢 Now I just fish off the dock! 😊
In your inimitable style, Keith. Lovely
Thanks so much, Neil.
Not generally a problem for me. Until it starts being a problem for others that is. Nicely done, Keith.
A good point, Sandra!
Yuck.
That’s what I thought!
Hello, sailor! I thought you southerners were all marine types, Keef. You must be such a disappointment to your old piratical mum!
I was once, I even belonged to a sailing club! Nearest I get to it now is the ferry to Calais for lunch!
I know the feeling. Never board a vessel without my wrist bands.
Even when you where a boat owner?
I do not wish this upon anyone! I just loved your dramatic reading!
Thanks, I had fun with it!
Poor guy! I admire him for giving it his best effort for her sake.
At least he gave it a go!
🙂 <3
fun story as always in your inimitable writing style. well done. 🙂
Nice of you to say so, thanks, plaridel.
Seasickness really spoils the voyage
This is me, too. I don’t like how the boat leans so much…and all that lunging. Loved your dramatic, nautical tale!
Thank you so much
I hope it didn’t make you feel a little sick too!
It’s the vonceot or possibility of the ship sinking or me overboard that turns my sealegs to jelly. I dont cope with boats on a bad lean!
It sure did for him!
🙁
As always, a rollicking good story, Keith. Though it made me a bit queasy.
Oh dear, sorry about that!
Not all are meant to play on the sea, sadly… My father had a sailboat and luckily, the three girls loved it! And did not suffer…
Very true. Despite this tale, I have pretty good sea legs too!
I somehow don’t doubt that!
I get super motion sick so take lots of meds !
Hopefully they do the trick!
Stomach turning sensations.
People who get motion sick are going to get motion sick, it’s best to quit trying to talk them into going. Fun story (although not for your protagonist).
Love this rendition of your calamitous voyage Keith 😅 – I’m lucky never to have experienced sea sickness- thank goodness 😌
Oops. Not a good place if you are not a good sailor! 🌊
Dear Keith,
Sailing isn’t for everyone, is it? I feel for this guy and everyone around him.
Shalom,
Rochelle
I feel a little seasick, just from reading this.
Uh oh. Parrot mouth follows.
