If you look carefully at the next pic, on the right you’ll see the remains of a castle built by the Romans about 2000 years ago, and towards the left a church built by the Normans around 1066.
You can click the pic to enlarge should you so desire!

Fascinating walk. I spotted a holly tree!
Indeed you did, a very glossy one too!
Loving that scene and making me really yearn for spring
It’s feeling like Spring right now, but we’re told it’s not going to last!
Enjoy every minute then
Hubby and I would have enjoyed joining you for this walk. Beautiful.
Thank you for hosting the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday and rest of the week, Keith. 🙂
If only you could! Thanks, Sandee.
Lovely to see such blue skies and green grass! 😍 Must have been wonderful after all that rain. Old man winter refuses to leave here, and we need to kick him out. 🥶
Mud everywhere, buit it really didn’t matter! Thanks, Debbie. That wood is a dog’s paradise!
Beautiful! Thanks for the walk! Nice to see something other than snow!
I’d like to see some snow, it’s been years!
Come to NY; we have plenty to spare!
☃️
Thanks for the beautiful virtua stroll in the woods, Keith. I love the sky!
The pleasure was mine!
What a lovely walk, thank you! I think I might like to explore the ruins, if one is allowed, but that’s just me.
It certainly is. It’s a really intresting place to visit – I’ll do a WW on it soon.
What a gorgeous day for a stroll!
It was perfect!
Beautiful blue sky and sunshine but don’t look down at the mud and water! Your part of the world has so many dreary days but that makes the sunshine ones all the more special and it makes for a lot of green outdoors that is beautiful on a sunny day.
So true, ‘Anon’, days like this are very precious.
I love the blue sky set against the branches and start winter foliage. I also quite like the deep green moss on the trees.
It was begging to be photographed! Thanks so much.
Oh How i would love to see the ancient buildings you have dotted around your landscape!
We have so many!
The gnarling branches are very interesting to look at
