    Lovely photos of a beautiful city. I have been past and walked around the Coliseum, but for some unfathomable reason we have never been inside. From your high vantage point, the people in the Vatican City look like ants!

    The beauty of so much of Europe is the old. It can be falling apart, dirty, or in pristine condition but it is always so amazing to think of how hard it must have been to build at the time. Mom is most impressed by the Great Wall of China, the size, how long it took to build and that it still stands and can be seen on certain landing routes into Beijing. It was worth a day trip to see. But Europe has so much to see as well.

    Looks like it was a wonderful trip. I like that in addition to all the ancient and rennaissance landmarks, we see some street art and street musicians in the mix. It makes it feel like a living city!
    I hope to visit Rome some day.

    I have only been to Rome once, and the sense of history is palpable there. You captured that sense beautifully, Keith. Love all your photos; you took a lot of time to find the right perspective and point of view in each photo. Love that statue of the woman in the bushes, beautiful contrasts of nature and human art. And the photos of the Vatican are superb. Well done~!.

    This took me back, way back, to my young days (my first life), I was in and out of those places, I probably still have hard copies of some of these photos. Back when you had to have the films developed! My favorite hangout spots were the Spanish steps and Trevi Fountain., Aww the good ole days:)
