for Wordless Wednesday and bloghops various!
.
Apart from travelling and blogging, I have one other passion – entertaining guests up here in my little loft!
Here are a few of the tables, menus and foods that welcomed them last year. Most of the pictures were taken by my guests then posted on social media.
.
Spring! Here’s the table

.
These were the welcome nibbles and cocktails.

.
I put on a Greek night. It’s traditional to smash plates at the end of the meal, but there was no way they were ruining mine to so I decorated the table with broken crockery!

The menu…

…the sweet meze!

.
I put on a movie night. We watched Moulin Rouge. This was the coffee table with fans to wave, roses to wear, their tickets and movie theatre snacks to nibble on…

.
…more movie food followed!

.
My most ambltious, and expensive meal was a Japanese one!

I did a lot of trecking in Madeira, so when I came back I turned the tables into lavadas – trails to you and me! The soil is chocolate breakfast cerial by the way.

Here’s what I laid on. I brought quite a few ingredients back with me.

Now I’m feeling hungry!

What a fun year of food. I love all the food, but the Japanese one is my favorite. Well done.
Thank you for hosting the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday and rest of the week, Keith. 🙂
Now I am feeling hungry too, Keith. The food looks fantastic. I am sure all the dishes were delicious. Loved your super creative themed dinining experience. Well done.
Thanks, Suzette, I really enjoy holding these little get-togethers!
Most excellent!
OMG times a million! Very impressive!
Wow, what a lovely comment! Thank you, Denise,
I need to come learn how to entertain from you! It would be a delight to be your guest, too.
You are more than welcome, Mimi!
Oh wow! Keith you’re a very generous and talented host. Love all these displays.
Thanks, Sadje, I get so much pleasure from hosting.
Awesome
Wow, Keith!
This is entertaining taken to an entirely different level.
It’s like travelling the world without leaving your loft.
Your guests are very lucky… and yes, now I’m hungry too! 😋
I travel a lot and always come home with new ideas. They all seem to enjoy iyt!
Oh our mom loves this post! She loves having people over, fixing food and presenting it in a gorgeous way and setting a nice table but it is nothing as fancy as this. Absolutely amazing! Well done!
I’m sure her tables look very inviting! Thanks so much.
Is there nothing you don’t do well? Don’t answer that! hehehe
You say the nicest things, Jodi!
Wow! You are the “Host With The Most”, Keith. 😃 Your themes are so creative and all the food looks delicious. Magnifique! 👌
What a lovely thing to say, Debbie, thank you so much!
I love the table settings – a certain modern elegance in the shapes and simple color palettes.
And of course, the food looks delicious, too!
Happy New Year and Happy WW!
Thanks so much. They do say that you eat with your eyes, so I like to add another element!
So… how does one snag an invite at one of yoru shindigs?
Hopefully you also get invited to others’?
Beautiful! Delicious! Wonderful!
Happy New Year!
Open invitation – just hop on a plane!
I do get invited to others, but I get for more pleasure from being a host than being a guest!
Good to know!
Somehow, that does not surprise me!
You are very talented! The food presentation and menus are wonderful, as are the table decorations. Are you a trained chef?
Thanks so much.
I’m a self-trained chef! In my 40’s I got tired of selling cars and fancied the idea of running a restaurant! I spent a year or so going through recipe books adapting dishes to my taste, then jumped in at the deep end!
how wonderful and festive! you are a natural host!
I love to host! Thanks, Beth.
Hi Keith – you certainly do apparently love to host – they all look amazing … what wonderful spreads … cheers Hilary
