So, here we are! Your first classical concert and we have the best seats, right in the middle. Now remember, no singing along, no cheering, no waving your arms, no jumping up and down, ok?
I don’t think much of this tune.
It’s not a tune, they are tuning their instruments. They’ll start playing soon.
Why are they still tuning their instruments?
Shhh, they’re not, this is the tune.
Boring. They need guitars and a decent drummer.
I give up, we are leaving. ‘Excuse me, sir…excuse me, miss…ooh your toes, sorry sir…excuse me, madam…excuse me, sir…oops your water, sorry miss…’
Prod a frog to visit the squares!

*Apparently GLC Live is, and I quote, a contemporary concert hall in Grand Rapids, MI, USA with around 2600 seats hosting live music, comedy shows & more. I doubt they hold orchestral events, but for the sake of my story – they just did!

Thanks to Rochelle for hosting Friday Fictioneers!

I like the graceful exit from the concert seat/aisle…lots of excuse mes. Great read, Keith. Cheers.
Thanks, Suzette!
There’s nothing worse than having to shuffle your way out from the middle seats!
I can totally understand that point of view, Keith.
Checked out the website and agree that they do not have orchestral events. For that, drive two and one-half hours east to Orchestra Hall in Detroit. Luckily I am only a 30 minute drive for the symphony.
I need to travel 6,105 miles first!

Oh my goodness, a beautiful rendition of one of my favourite pieces of music – I felt I was there!
Dun’t no much about musik but ‘e knows what ‘e likes
Too right, dude!
I think you can enjoy classic rock and classical music, too. 😉
I certainly do!
First laugh out loud of the day! Brilliant!
Just what I like to hear!
Love the humor! These character’s POV are so clear!
Thanks so much!
I can just imagine this scene.
I hope they didn’t step on your toes!

Keith I was laughing out loud on this one. That’s why I like aisle seats!
Me too, I always try to get them!
Delighted to have amused you, Lisa.
🙂
It’s tough to take young ones to such things. We were taken as small school children to special performances of the orchestra as field trips from school and taught how to behave there.
What a wonderful thing to have done!

Back at you, Beth!
Enjoyed.
I’m pleased!
Musical mayhem for sure. Nice viewpoint shifts.
Indeed! Thanks, Kelvin.
😅Love the audio production, you bring your story to life Keith 🙌
Thank you, Ange, for me making the audio’s half the fun!
🙌
Dear Keith,
No doubt those around them were happy to see those two leave. Fun story.
Shalom,
Rochelle
No doubt at all! Thanks, Rochelle.
(give up, we are leaving), perhaps each other. I agree it is not much fun excusing yourself across people when they are trying to enjoy themselves.
I know exactly what you mean. It’s an aisle seat for me!
Love this, Keith!
Having earplugs with you in concerts is always a good idea, in more than one sense. Fun story.
Haha…very realistic.
humiliating to leave in such way
