Beautiful photos, Keith. The weather looked fantastic for your tour. Love the beautiful scene you captured with the palm trees and the boat…an iconic moment.
And that is a lot of bread being baked! Wowza.
Cheers!
Thanks so much, Suzette. The lady and her daughter supply the whole town with bread!
Oh wow. That is amazing!
Cheers, my friend! Thank you for such a lovely tour!
Thanks for tagging along, Nancy. It’s time to plan my next trip!
What a gorgeous place- thanks again for taking me along!
it’s a magical island, that’s for sure!
Those painted doors! Were they all in Portugal?
Yes, all on the beautiful Portuguese island of Madeira. Every street in every town had them!
Beautiful pics Keith
Thank you, Sadje.
You’re most welcome
What a beautiful adventure you had. Hubby and I would love to visit here. The food looks good and I loved the cocktail bar. My kind of place.
Thank you for hosting the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous day and rest of the week, Keith. 🙂
You couldn’t fail to love it. That cocktail bar was crazy, we went there several times! The picture looking down was taken from a mirror.
Saúde! 🍻
great odds and ends and I espcecall enjoy the pics of the sea
Thanks, Beth!
Oh, such lovely photos! Loved them all.
I’m pleased, thanks so much!
What a delight, from start to finish!
Thanks so much, Mimi.
The scenic shots are stunning but I like the bread too. That’s so interesting! What a wonderful trip you had!
It sure was. We were each given a loaf fresh from the oven – it was really tasty!
Hi Keith – lovely range of photos – they certainly colour up their lives. The oxen statue must incredible to see up close, while the two lizards, I first thought were going to be snakes, but no – safe! Actually the cat on the roof … wonderful time you had – and a fun group … cheers Hilary. PS did I see you with Madeira anywhere … c/o Flanders and Swann?!
Indeed they do! The statue is in the middle of a restaurant patio, it’s incredible.
I just Googled the Flanders and Swann Madeira song, I’d not heard it for years and it’s so funny!
We love all the bright colors and artsy things, so pretty. It is amazing that woman is making all that bread. Here it would all be done with a machine.
It’s an extravaganza of colour!
She makes over two hundred loaves a day, all by hand, pounding the dough at breakneck speed!
What a fantastic collection of photos! Each one tells a story.
Thanks, Shiju, they certainly do.
A wonderful travel report again.
Thanks so much.
Such beautiful photos! 😍 I loved the painted doors, especially, and of course, any scene with palm trees on water. 😀🌴 Thanks for the tour of Madeira. Saúde! 🥂
Thanks, Debbie. It was probably the most photogenic place I’ve ever visited. Cheers!
Beautiful photos of the coast! And so much color once again in the public spaces and the museums.
I did like seeing that cat up on the roof – made my smile 😻
I did too! Thanks so much.
Beautiful series of photos.
I’m pleased you liked them, thank you!
So glad you shared these, especially the doors!
Thank you. The doors were fascinating!
You have a very colourful travel journey
Very colourful!
Stunning shots, Keith! The whole place looks like a dream! I especially love those painted doors.
Thanks so much. There were painted doors everywhere we went!
