It sure was. We were each given a loaf fresh from the oven – it was really tasty!
Hi Keith – lovely range of photos – they certainly colour up their lives. The oxen statue must incredible to see up close, while the two lizards, I first thought were going to be snakes, but no – safe! Actually the cat on the roof … wonderful time you had – and a fun group … cheers Hilary. PS did I see you with Madeira anywhere … c/o Flanders and Swann?!
Indeed they do! The statue is in the middle of a restaurant patio, it’s incredible.
I just Googled the Flanders and Swann Madeira song, I’d not heard it for years and it’s so funny!
We love all the bright colors and artsy things, so pretty. It is amazing that woman is making all that bread. Here it would all be done with a machine.
It’s an extravaganza of colour!
She makes over two hundred loaves a day, all by hand, pounding the dough at breakneck speed!
