From a very young age, Albert loved fireworks. He’d use any excuse to set some off! He even founded the town’s bonfire society, and every November the fifth, folk come from near and far to enjoy its amazing event.

Each year on his birthday, his family lays on a spectacular display at the bottom of his garden. This year it was an extra special birthday, and his son Tom had a firework made specifically to mark the occasion.

He lit the touchpaper and it shot into the air, then exploded into a riot of colour sending Albert’s ashes flying in every direction!

Keith, this little story manages to be cheeky and touching all at once. I love how it celebrates Albert’s spirit—literally and figuratively—with one final burst of joy!

    Much love,

    David
