Another weekend, another event! Three days of eating and drinking down at the seafront. It was warm then cool, wet then dry, but it was fun nonetheless!

Another great selection Keith. We have several street markets throughout the year and are always stunned by the prices. When we were on the boat they had a farmer’s market in town and a cup cake stall. The cakes were something like £2.50 each (this was 8 years ago and recent similar markets here have them at £4 plus) and a boating friend paid £9 for a small loaf of bread. He couldn’t believe it, but the girl was so nice, he didn’t have the heart to not buy it! We never bought anything, but it was interesting to see what was available. It was also sad to see so many cup cakes binned with just one bite out of them.

Thanks Di. Judging by what you’ve said, I think we got off quite lightly! You may have noticed that the most expensive loaf on our bread stall was £4.50 – and I thought that seemed expensive at the time! Who could just take one bite of a cup cake? Not me!

They were either too sweet and sickly, or tasted of nothing! I was given a ‘bouquet’ of cup cakes (I did a post on it with photos) and they were delicious! There were seven, so I gave two to the couple who gave them to us, one to our neighbour and we had two each. Yummy!!

Awesome! My kind of pics Keith. I love photos of summer fun, great food stalls and the crowds. I can almost smell the delicioiusness of fareground foods and delicacies. Fantastatic share. Thank you!

Thanks, Suzette. There was so much food to choose from that I didn’t know where to start – or finish!

Always a treat to go through you beautiful images, Keith. I love how the only (or mostly only) healthy kiosk is for the dogs!!

Thanks so much, Dale – that’s a good point! Eating healthily goes out of the window at food fairs!

Wow! If a picture is worth 1,000 words, how many novels have you written? Remember when you were a kid and didn’t have the ability to take photos everyday? At least I couldn’t.

I ate my way through this festival. Okay, I drank a lot of good booze too. What a fun way to spend a day.

Hi Keith – these are great fun pics … and lots to decide what to eat or not … or drink too much and sleep the rest of the day away – but everyone looked happy and having fun. I must get down to our front soon … cheers Hilary

Another great set of pics. I love the overall international flavor, and also the British goods. I am an American who cannot get enough of the British life!

Looks like a fun festival. The seaside is always a great setting for festivity.
Now I want burgers, and sausages, and the Indian spices, and the wine, …

Such a great selection of so many different foods. I wouldn’t know where to start, but I would have to buy something to take home from the bread stall, and the cheese stall.
