PART TWO!………..

.

.

It’s not the prettiest beach I admit, but at least there’s no risk of being hit on the head by a coconut!

There are crates, nets and buoys all over the place These old fishing boats have sailed from here for generations. Some have more patches than my gran’s patchwork quilt, but most of them launch daily come stormy water or still and usually return with crateloads of fish.

They sell their catches to the seafood market long the coast. I prodded a lobster there once. Wretched thing snapped my finger. I got my own back though – I ate it!

The picture looks very much like the far end of Hastings beach from where fishing boats operate. I posted some very similar pictures a few weeks back.

Yes, we all eat the rewards from the efforts of these hardy fishermen folk. I trust the lobster was delicious, even though you had a bandage on your throbbing finger.

He seems to be a jaunty tour guide! The lobster was wise to clip his finger. It’s the reverse of “don’t bite the hand that feeds you’.

I don’t doubt that lobster was all the more delicious for having snapped him!

I really like how you described the place. I love marinas. Have ridden past them many times on my bike and love the sounds of the rigging and the busy-ness of it.

That’ll show the lobster who’se boss. Although I suspect it doesn’t care any more 🙂

I remember being pinched by a crab while shopping in chinatown. It hurt so bad that I bought it and cooked it right away to exact my revenge. 🙂

Revenge is a dish best served boiled…with butter. Great story.
