For Wordless Wednesday and bloghops various!

Not far from me, there’s an alley behind some seafront appartment blocks. The long wall that runs along one side has recently undergone a bit of a paint job!.

Let’s take a closer look!

The same artist decorated this bus shelter…

and the entrance to the tunnel beneath a railway line…

this disused shop window too!

Opposite the train station there’s a black and white mural celebrating some of the town’s most famous residents and icons, including comedian Eddie Izzard, the television inventor John Logie Baird who came here from Scotland, pioneering racing car driver Dorothy Levitt, former footballer Leon Legge, and chemist Rosalind Franklin who discovered the structure of DNA.

I’ll leave you with the largest piece of street art in the town!

Love all the walls, but the first few are my favorites. You know how I love water, boats and sea birds. Beautiful.
Thank you for hosting the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.

Fantastic artwork! I’d consider myself very lucky to look out my window and see that beautiful art instead of staring at a plain old wall. Brilliant! Thanks for the share, dear Keith.

I can’t see them from my window, but the disused shop one is a couple of doors down from my gate, and the huge at the end is just around the corner!

Thanks, Sadje. The wall is a walk along our seafront and into the pretty copse at the far end!

We love the bright and cheery walls, better than a boring old wall and hopefully it will keep the hoodlems from putting graffiti all over everything. The boats are our favorite.

Far nicer! Fortunately, none of our many pieces of street art have suffered from graffiti – yet!

I’m a huge fan of murals. My favorite are the two forests. They almost look like you could walk through them!

I would be surprised if someone walked into last one, it’s really large and super-realistic!

Don’t worry, it’s not a prison! It’s to keep people away the rear gardens of the houses and appartments.

Hi Keith – I’ve just attempted to comment – failed … I’d better go back to copying my comments just in case. I love that you’ve shown us these … just superb I’d love to be able to paint like that – or even somewhat near it!! Part of the wall looked (to me) a little like one or two of Hockey’s early ipad artworks … I hope this takes … otherwise I’ll be sulking for the rest of the day – cheers Hilary
