Not far from me, there’s an alley behind some seafront appartment blocks. The long wall that runs along one side has recently undergone a bit of a paint job!.

Let’s take a closer look!

and the entrance to the tunnel beneath a railway line…

this disused shop window too!

Opposite the train station there’s a black and white mural celebrating some of the town’s most famous residents and icons, including comedian Eddie Izzard, the television inventor John Logie Baird who came here from Scotland, pioneering racing car driver Dorothy Levitt, former footballer Leon Legge, and chemist Rosalind Franklin who discovered the structure of DNA.

I’ll leave you with the largest piece of street art in the town!

Cool!!
That’s what I thought!
What beautiful artwork! Thank you for sharing, Keith.
My pleasure, thanks, Dale!
😊
Love all the walls, but the first few are my favorites. You know how I love water, boats and sea birds. Beautiful.
Thank you for hosting the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday and rest of the week, Keith. 🙂
I certainly do! Thanks, Sandee!
amazing murals!
He’s a talented guy! Thanks, Beth.
The murals are fantastic
They certainly are! Thanks for dropping by.
How beautiful. I think street art adds so much to the urban landscape. I wish it was more poular near me.
It does, it’s everywhere I look here!
These are great! I really like the b&w one
Thanks, Lydia. That’s the first thing people see as they exit the station!
Fantastic artwork! I’d consider myself very lucky to look out my window and see that beautiful art instead of staring at a plain old wall. Brilliant! Thanks for the share, dear Keith.
I can’t see them from my window, but the disused shop one is a couple of doors down from my gate, and the huge at the end is just around the corner!
That’s what I call a fabulous bit of a paint job. I love street art and murals
The artist (s) did a wonderful job with the blue hues. Awesome.
Thanks, Suzette, I know you love it, you’ve shown us some stunning street art just lately!
I do indeed. Thank you for your share. I delight! Have a good one!
What lovely art!
Thanks, Mimi, I love it!
Wow, these murals are absolutely stunning! The colors, details, and creativity behind each piece are truly impressive. I love how murals can transform a space and tell a story at the same time. Thanks for sharing this amazing artwork!
They certainly can. Thank you, the pleasure’s mine!

Wow! Amazing street art Keith. These sea scapes and other murals are so beautiful
Thanks, Sadje. The wall is a walk along our seafront and into the pretty copse at the far end!
You’re welcome
We love the bright and cheery walls, better than a boring old wall and hopefully it will keep the hoodlems from putting graffiti all over everything. The boats are our favorite.
Far nicer! Fortunately, none of our many pieces of street art have suffered from graffiti – yet!
I’m a huge fan of murals. My favorite are the two forests. They almost look like you could walk through them!
I would be surprised if someone walked into last one, it’s really large and super-realistic!
Beautiful mural. I particularly like the detailed images of the birds, mushrooms, etc.
So do I, they ae so realistic!
That mural is so super cool. Love it. They did an amazing job. Very beautiful. Thanks for hosting and I hope that you have a wonderful week.
Thanks so much, I don’t know how they do it!
The mural is lovely. I wonder why the barbed wire on top. They keeping someone in or someone out?
Don’t worry, it’s not a prison! It’s to keep people away the rear gardens of the houses and appartments.
What a fantastic splash of color and creativity brightening up the town!
It certainly does that, Shiju!
Hi Keith – I’ve just attempted to comment – failed … I’d better go back to copying my comments just in case. I love that you’ve shown us these … just superb I’d love to be able to paint like that – or even somewhat near it!! Part of the wall looked (to me) a little like one or two of Hockey’s early ipad artworks … I hope this takes … otherwise I’ll be sulking for the rest of the day – cheers Hilary
