For Wordless Wednesday on a Tuesday, and bloghops various!
.

I recently returned from a trip along the coast of Norway. I travelled on MS Kong Harald, a cross between a cruise ship and a working boat as it transported mail, cargo and cars as well as being a hop-on hop-off means of transport for locals!
I took over 900 photos which I’ll be going through for the foreseeable future!

.

.
These are just a few of the snaps I took from a small ship as we sailed along Norway’s most beautiful and best-known fjords, Romsdalsfjord, Geirangerfjord and Hjørundfjord.

HERE’S LINKY!

Oh these are awesome.
Thanks, Sadje. It was an awesome boat ride!
My daughter was in Norway for a conference about education. She loved the country and was advising us to move there
There was something very special about the place and it’s people. I can quite understand why she said that.
What fab photos ver scenic too I enjoyed looking through these thanks for sharing Keith
Have a shiptastic week 👍
My pleasure, Steve!
Oh wow, Keith! What gorgeous photos and talk about a cool way to travel! I really have to start researching cool trips like this.
It was great. I’m not one for posh cruising, and this was a nice casual way to travel!
I am not opposed to posh cruising but I think I would also like this version!
What a fantastic trip! Thanks for sharing these, you are saving me a big trip!
Mitch
@gaynycdad
It certainly was a fantastically big trip! Cheers, Mitch!
what an amazing travel adventure you had!
It was wonderful – that was just day one!
Oh, these are gorgeous, dear Keith! The bright little pops of color against the white and grey are sensational! The Kong Harald is a lovely ship; I would love to take a trip like this …. if only I didn’t get horribly seasick!
Those colourful wooden houses and their little boat sheds looked beautiful, but It’s hard to believe people live in such remote places. It wasn’t too bumpy as we sailed close to the coast, but everywhere you looked on the ship there were piles of sick bags – just in case!
That’s amazing! I could never live there, though!
Nor me, far too remote and very cold!
Gives new meaning to the word ‘snowballs’! 😂☃️😂
Thank goodness for thermal underwear!
So much beauty! What a wonderful adventure.
It was, and it got better and better every day!
It looks very cold in deed
I was so wrapped up, I didn’t even notice it!
These are fabulous photos Keith.
Thank you so much, Di.
You’re welcome
Welcome home.
A country I would love to visit. Beautiful shots. Wow.
Thank you for hosting the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday and rest of the week, Keith. 🙂
Thanks, Sandee. It exceeded my already high expectations!
Wow and wow again. Thank you!
That’s what I said! Cheers, Mimi!
It’s so breath-taking. We went thru some of those – on a small electric boat and on the Hurtigruten. Just amazing. Lovely pics.
Breat-taking indeed! Good old Hurtigruten!
Wow and awesome!!
It was an amazing boat ride!
“Wow, these photos are absolutely stunning!
I can only imagine how incredible it must have been to see these views in person!
It was, and the best are yet to come!
Mom has gone through the fjords three times, twice by boat and once by bus but always in the warmer summer months. They are always so beautiful to see. She never thought of going there in the winter, especially by boat.
I’m tempted to return in the Summer, apparently it’s fantastic.
These photos capture the beauty of Norway perfectly. The colors, the light, the atmosphere… it’s all so captivating.
That’s most kind of you, Shiju.
Hi Keith – definitely looking forward to more – what an amazing trip – thanks for putting up the stops etc … it’ll be brilliant to refer back to – cheers for now – Hilary
Thanks, Hilary, there were a lot of stops and there’ll be heaps of photos to come!
Wow, those are some super cool and beautiful pictures. So very nice. Want to see more.
Looks like quite an adventure. And beautiful photos of the fjords and the town. Looking forward to more.
Keith, there can be no bad photos with landscape like this. I wondered how much snow there would be as I headed to your post. I really want to know how you found out about this kind of travel? It must be less expensive to do it that way, maybe even something I could afford. If you have a link to the info, I’d appreciate it. That waterfall up on the mountain WOW!
This was the south of Norway, Lisa. The further north we went, the more snow we found – knee deep in places as you’ll see with pictures to come.
I travelled with Hurtigruten which is an important part of Norway’s economy. There were 27 different nationalities on board, the majority from the USA and Australia. Here’s a link to a similar trip, although mine was slightly longer-

Amazing photos, Keith. Thanks for the info!
Wow.
It was very wowish, Dawn!
Looks cold and friendly.
That sums it up perfectly!
Norway is one of my favourite places to visit althogh I admit we did it on a much bibber ship. Was this Hurtigruten? I would love to go on one of their ships, but as I have to use a wheelchair for anything more than a short distance I don’t know if it will be practical. Now I have been given a reprieve I need to look into it.
Can I make a request? Could you put a place name under the photos? So many places I recognise, but a lot that I don’t. Just the name would do so I know if it somewhere I have been.
https://allatseawithme.blogspot.com/
It was indeed a Hurtigruten working ship – there were plenty of elevators on board, although some of the excursions could prove problematical with a wheelchair.
I will be attempting to name all the places in my upcoming collections, but as we visited 2 or 3 places some days I may get a few of them confused!
Interesting scenery! But it doesn’t appear to be a very habitable place, unless you want to fish + hike every day.
They are very isolated, but they’d probably find large towns and cities overwhelming.
No doubt!
These images are so beautiful and could be transformed in paintings.
Thank you for sharing such details from your trip.
Happy Today and a fine weekend!
Thanks, Suzana. If I could paint, I probably would!
Wow, these are amazing shots. I look forward to seeing more from your trip!
Thanks, Brenda, lots more to come!
WOW!! So amazing, the vistas from the water are staggeringly breathtaking what a grand entrance to that part of the world. You are truly blessed Keith. Thanks for the great photos. I was happy to see a sign for “Sauna” in all that cold. Phew…a bit of comfort.
Woahhhh! Straight out of a fairy tale!!
Blown over. I can imagine how mesmersing it would have been for you, Keith.
Absolutely stunning pictures!
I really love how you spoil us with so many photos, Keith. I’m on to part 2!
