Pics!

For Wordless Wednesday on a Tuesday, and bloghops various!

Last week we visited some stately homes and gardens. This week, we’re going inside a few!  The picture quality isn’t great, flash photography is not allowed, but I hope they give you an idea of how the other half live!

    What splendor.

I wonder if these homes are still lived in or are just for exhibition?

I can see Hyacinth Bucket visiting these types of stately homes!

So true, I think I prefer being one of us though, I get fed up with dusting my little appartment, imagine dusting that lot!

      • Dale's avatar Dale October 19, 2024 / 15:52

You and me, both. I find my house already too much to clean (not my favourite thing to do). Ugh!

The places look amazing. Great photos.

That’s a very stately home indeed. And wow, that library!!!

Indeed. What a luxury that would be!

Wonderful photos Keith. I think the photos look perfect….Believe it or not, I like the kitchen scene the best. Lots of opulence everywhere no space left in the ceilings for the beauty present in them…Wow!

    • Keith's Ramblings's avatar Keith's Ramblings October 19, 2024 / 11:43

Thanks, Suzette. As an ex-chef, I also found the kitchen interesting, I felt like donning my whites and cooking something up!

Oh that sounds delightful. I did not know you are a chef Keith. Outstanding.

The more I see of these beautiful places, the more I admire them and the less I would want to live in them. Give me a tiny home with less to take care of and it will suit me just fine.

Wow. What beautiful rooms. I love the kitchen. Let’s make a huge meal and then enjoy it in the dining room. Beautiful. I would love to see this in person.

Thank you for hosting the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday and rest of the week, Keith. 🙂

Man, you wouldn’t want to do the dusting! So crazily ornate. I love the painted pillars tho. Beautiful to visit but you wouldn’t want to live there!!

    • Keith's Ramblings's avatar Keith's Ramblings October 19, 2024 / 11:53

You’d certainly get through a lot of feather dusters! Cheeers, Lydia.

Holy Toledo! The bed footboard and ceiling in Kingston Lacey was incredible! Magnificent photos, Keith.

That bed makes my little divan look pathetic! Cheers, Nancy.

WOW! The home looks so ornate and resplendent, with every detail adding to its charm and elegance.

You captured its beauty perfectly—thanks for sharing!

    Happy Wednesday, Keith!

Love all the homes but really love that library. All of these are very beautiful. Thanks for sharing them. Thanks for hosting and I hope that you have a wonderful week.

    Such opulence!

I think my favorite is that Romanesque atrium with the columns and the dome. It is a bit more spare and feels quite spacious 🙂

    Have a great week!

It’s actually a ballroom, I could almost hear the music and see the dancers in their manificent cortumes!

Beautiful buildings, and those ceilings! I found the kitchen interesting with the bottles of oils and wondered if it is used. They looked too fresh to just be for display.

I have put my url as I have no idea who I am posting as until it comes up. I couldn’t access Chrome so am using Firefox which I haven’t for years.

The kitchen’s not in use, but the food was fresh and presumably changed regularly!

Firefox seems to be behaving itself!
