Last week I took you for a stroll along the promenade at high tide. Today, the tide is on its way out – still a way to go, though!

I  saw Moulin Rouge in London’s West End on Saturday – if it comes to a city near you, you really should see it!

Lovely photos, Keith. Low tide is a great way to explore what was covered during high tide.

Thanks, Maria. Its amazing what’s hidden beneath the waves!

I love how it dramatically changes

I like the human sundial. Lovely vistas

It’s fun! You just stand with your feet pointing to the appropriate month, and it tells you the time – except on cloudy days of course!

I’d like to come here one day and experience this.

It’s quite different from last week. The beach we used to visit had tides which were not nearly so dramatic. It’s all beautiful, a different beauty at each stage of the water.

The contrasting view between the high and low tides is incredible!

Thank you Keith for the lovely walk along the shore photos.
Love the different ground cover from the pebbles to the grassy watery areas.
A wonderful idea a human sundial. I have never seen or heard of anything like that before.
P.S. Whose Crocs are they I wonder?

It’s facinating a low tide, there’s so much and kids love to watch them!

I always check the time when I pass the sundial!

Wonderful share, and the walk alongside photos was a delight. Thank you Keith

Keith is this beach near where you live? Looks very inviting to step in for refreshing coolness. Moulin Rouge is one I’d like to see sometime. The bright colors are fabulous!

It’s at the end of my road, Lisa, I go down there most days.

You love the musical, I’m sure!

Great spot to enjoy life in. Close to theaters is an extra bonus.

Brighton is 25 miles along the coast and it’s a lot busier than my little town!

Btw, I still can’t leave a comment on your site Steve 😒

Beautiful in high tide or low tide. Great shots. Your camera loves you.

Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday and rest of the week, Keith. 🙂

Fabulous! Somebody lost their crocs! It’s a bit rocky to be walking barefoot. I love the buildings with their water view. Beautiful!

    • Keith's Ramblings's avatar Keith's Ramblings August 16, 2024 / 10:08

Fear not about the crocs, the little girl was busily building a sandcasle to my left!

I though I’d show you what the water sees!

The photos are stunning, and it’s fascinating to see the shore gradually reveal itself as the tide recedes. There’s something so peaceful about watching the water slowly retreat and observing what it leaves behind on the sand. Thank you for sharing these beautiful moments with us!

Thank you so much. It’s really interesting, especially the creatures you can watch in the rock pools.

Wow, you can really tell the difference! I like those exposed rocks, it reminds of the coast in California.

    Hi from Berlin this week!

    • Keith's Ramblings's avatar Keith's Ramblings August 16, 2024 / 09:59

Such a contrast! Enjoy Berlin, I’ve not been there since the 70’s!

With all those warnings in the first photos and then the pair of shoes that someone vanished out of, it makes that beach seem a bit dangerous, but it gets the curiosity going to to there. Great photos! Mom saw Cats when she was in London years and years ago when it was the big play to see.

    • Keith's Ramblings's avatar Keith's Ramblings August 16, 2024 / 09:55

Fear not about the shoes, they belonged to a little girl who was making a sandcastle with her mum just out of shot! Cats was an amazing show.

Such beautiful pics. I would love to visit that beach. Very nice.

Ebbing tide is the best for exploring the ocean floor
