    Wonderful share, Keith. I do enjoy seeing that iconic emblem of summer vibes that springs to mind with carnivals and fairground rides. Great photos, they have a sense of up close and personal to them.

    Loved your post looked like such fun and everyone so happy, wehn I was a kid we had Battersea Funfair in London I loved it was always in therre when i could till it all was shut down in late 70’s

    Hi Keith – wonderful set of photos showing us Bexhill’s carnival; I have to day I’d never heard of Ruffles crisps … live and learn … and I see they’re in the sweet shop area … cheers HIlary

    That was a delight! We have plenty of parades here, but it’s been a long time since I’ve been to one or a carnival, either. I may have to remedy that soon.

    That was quite an event. It’s amazing how there is nothing there, then in a day or two it is all set up and full of life and then overnight, it disappears. What was the celebration for?
