for Rochelle’s Friday Fictioneers photo prompt.

From the moment she walked, she danced. In her pink costume, sparkly leggings, and little silver ballet shoes she’d spin, leap, then collapse in a giggling heap on the floor!
She was destined to become a dancer.
We were so proud when she made her debut in London’s West End. Her Dying Swan touched us. Her grace, her poise enchanted the audience.
Sadly fantasy became reality. I’ll say no more. It pains us to think what happened, or why.
We have a beautiful fuchsia in our garden. Its delicate pink blooms flutter in the breeze.
Like little dancers, like her.
Just like her.

Oh, the tragedy. Hopefully, she didn’t pull a “Black Swan”! A lovely hommage to plant a fuchsia in her honour.
I’d like to think she didn’t! Thanks so much, Dale.
Me too!
A moving piece Keith, Very sad indeed!
Thanks so much, Suzette.
An emotive piece, Keith
That’s much appreciated Neil, thank you.
so sweet
Thanks, Beth.
Keith, now why did you have to go and make me cry.
I can only apologise, Lisa!

Poignant tale Keith.
Thank you, Di.
You’re welcome Keith
No details are needed, it’s a sad tale told too often.
Thanks, Mimi.
We saw something similar in the prompt for once Keith. A bittersweet tragedy.
It seems we did. Thanks, Iain.
Stunning, piercing write, dear Keith. You’ve written a masterfully poignant story.
Thanks for your generous words, Nancy.
Wow, that was heart-rending. Beautiful segue from beauty to tragedy back to beauty.
That’s really kind of you, thanks so much.
Oh dear…this doesn’t sound good. I hope and pray your heart is mending…though I can’t but wonder if that’s even possible. Loss is HARD.
Indeed it is I can’t imagine what it would be like should this story be true.
I wondered if it were true, or not.
Dear Keith,
Poignant piece that goes straight for the heart.
Shalom,
Rochelle
Thanks so much, Rochelle.
Very moving. An interesting take on the fuchsia as well.
Thanks, Sandra, I’ve always seen them as little dancers!
How wonderful is this!
That’s so nice of you!
The blooms fluttering in the breeze is the perfect imagery of the girl dancing gracefully. Very nice!
That’s how I see them! Thanks so much.
not the usual humor this time around. truly evocative.
It makes a change! Thanks. plaridel.
Oh, such a poignant story. Heartbreaking. 💔
Thanks for your kind words, Sadje.
You’re welcome ☺️
Beautifully told. The fuchsia as a ‘little dancer’ reminding your narrator of his lost girl is a wonderful idea.
Thank you so much, Margaret.
Such a sad tragic story. Beautifully told.
That’s most kind of you. many thanks.
Youre welcome 🙂 Not your usual fun story, but brilliantly told.
Oh this is lovely and heart-breaking, Keith. I very much hope it isn’t a true story for you, although I’m sure it is for someone.
Sad to learn the final curtain on her performance occurred when she was so young. Lovely flowers.
A sweet and poignant story that touches the heart, Keith.
Extremely well written ….
This left me feeling so sad! Beautifully done, Keith.
Beautiful!
Your writing either leaves me in stitches or breaks my heart but never leaves me cold. I so love the liking her to the Fuchsia, such a wonderful comparison for fragile dancers in the wind.
beautiful!
Very moving. Great imagery and emotion!
The last line is so touching. I enjoyed this, well done.
This is bittersweet. 😔
