for Sammi’s Weekend Writing Prompt where the given word is Dejected.
If you are not one of the millions who play Wordle daily, then I apologise as this could make no sense to you whatsoever!

Her Wordle winning streak was the envy of her friends. Today, however, she was feeling somewhat dejected.
By the time she made line five, she only had three correct letters, OLL, and they were wrongly positioned.
Last go. She typed LOCAL, breathed deeply, hovered over the enter key and then slowly exhaled. Five…four…
Suddenly her phone rang.
“Hi Holly”, said her friend, “I bet you found today’s Wordle easy!”
.

I play off and on, so I get it. People on FB are obsessed with it and posting their scores, which I find a giant bore!
I know what you mean! I admit to posting my score a couple of times a while back, once being the only occasion I got the word first go! I went straight out and bought a lottery ticket but to no avail!
Well, that’s definitely cause for celebration! I’m not that good at it, usually it takes me 4 rounds…
My first word is always about and I got it two weeks back 😃. I should have gone for a lottery that day!!!
Well done, you might have had more luck than me!
Oh, LOL, that is too funny, Keith, Nicely wordled!
Thanks, Suzette!
This is funny, Keith! I’m pretty sure I said something similar to a friend who is a glass scientist when the word was glass. I love playing Wordle.
I’d love to have heard their reaction! Thanks, Sascha.
❤️
Thanks, Beth!
Salt on the wounds 😅
Absolutely!
😜
Shall I tell you about the day when I lost my streak because I forgot I had identified the letter I, which I forgot to use??
Oh no! That must have been so annoying!
No one is perfect, and the winning streak has to end at some point. It is woeful when it does.
It does. Mine currently stands a 3!
Excellent, Keith! I don’t play but I know how it goes. Great idea using Wordle for your story!
I’m pleased it kinda made sense! Cheers, Nancy.
