It is a fair Spring morn in the year of our Lord 1497 and the cobbled square is filled with merrymakers, where a band of wandering minstrels pluck citterns, crash cymbals, blow crumhorns, and jocoserious jonglers abound, acrobats, soothsayers and a conjurer.
Here a juggler, there six costumed mummers amusing a group of onlookers with a pantomime, and beyond, a gasping crowd surrounds a blindfolded fellow as he jaculates pointed knives t’ward a fair maiden shackled to a wooden wall.
“Hail beauteous dame”, says a handsome lad as he sidles up to a pretty lass, a vision of loveliness in a gown of pastel jaconet patterned with fine silver and gold thread, “perchance, shall thee do me the honour of consuming fine foods with me?”
“T’wouldst be’est mine own pleasure sir” she utters, her cheeks blossoming pink as she graciously curtsies.
“Then taketh mine hand, we shall share together a Big Mac and fr…..”
“CUT, Joey, for the last time, you are taking her to de’Montfault’s, not bloody McDonalds, TAKE TWENTY-THREE”

I decided, for my purposes, it would be the place at (hold on, I need to copy/paste… dude, how do you people fit addresses on the front of No. 10 envelopes?!):
“…in the heart of the Worcestershire Vale and North Cotswolds.” I trust this place is true in spirit, of not actuality, to the restaurant in your Six.

When I came up with the name de’Montfault’s I was not aware that such a place existed but after following your lead I now know there is! The eaterie in my Six is in fact in the heart of rural Sussex!
