A hundred words…

for Friday Fictioneers

.

I was on the edge of my seat, inches from my television. I’d never watched a movie like it, I felt as if I was there, looking on.

A girl was sitting on a bed prodding her phone when suddenly the lights went out. She switched on the torch and a shadow appeared on her wall.

But not her shadow.

‘Look behind you’, I yelled as a vile creature crept up behind her. No…no…no…

No, suddenly my power went off!.

.

I was in darkness but for a trickle of moonlight. A shadow appeared on my wall.

But not my shadow…..

.

.

dales-shadow.

Thanks to Rochelle for hosting and to Dale for the picture.

Prod Froggie to see what others have come up with!

Imaginative and effectively spooky; like Suzette, I say “great writing”

No more scary movies for you. Don’t want you to have a heart attack.

The best horror and scary moments is when they become real; they don’t come with popcorn. So take care Kieth–now look behind you.

No sleep to night then. The circle of terror can over so well

        Hahaha! Right! Blame me!
I am loving it. After having watched Midnight Mass and the Haunting of Hill House… I love how Mike Flanagna keeps his actors close… One played in Mass and here; a couple played in Mass and Hill House, etc. Fun stuff,

In my case the movie (or book) can cause sufficient angst without carrying over to my reality. Well done, Keith.

Good! That was the catch phrase an old radio show called The Shadow … yes, I said RADIO so you can imagine it’s quite old. I guess it never made it to your neck of the woods. Spooky stuff!

Well-done, Keith. I loved those sound effects as you read. Gave it a chilling oomph.

When the horror on the screen steps into your den, it’s time to scream and run! Yikes.

What is it with these shadows going around turning off people’s power? Nice one. The music added a chilling layer to your recording. Well done.
