Keith, these are gorgeous photos. You have a photographer’s eye. When were you in China? It’s a place I hope to visit someday.

Thanks, Lisa. I went in 2014 (how time flies!) and travelled all over the place from The Great Wall to The Terracotta Army! I wasn’t sure about going at first but I’m so glad I did – you really should go there if you can! Btw, there’s a link to all my China photos at the bottom of the page.

Oh wow, that is so wonderful you had that experience. What was your favorite part of it?
Keith, my dream is to travel from one end of The Great Wall to the other, not necessarily walking, but maybe riding a bike? It’s just a dream right now. Thanks for the heads-up on the link.

It’s hard to pick a favourite as the trip was so varied, but I suppose the walled town of X’ian and the Shaanxi Panda Breeding Centre stood out. The Great wall was very crowded and hard work!

Thank you for hosting the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday and rest of the week, Keith. 🙂

Those flowers are beautiful. I love that bridge too. After seeing the penultimate photo I thought you were going to say you would have fish for tea!

      A number 10, a 16, a 41 and a side order of prawn crackers!

It was really peaceful place and so different from the bustling cities we visited.

      Thanks, Hilary.

What color! The abundance of azaleas is amazing. How wonderful to be able to visit China.

Very pretty. Mom saw gardens a bit like that in Japan quite often. She spent a lot of time in Beijing on 5 day layovers but doesn’t recall ever seeing gardens.

    • Keith's Ramblings's avatar Keith's Ramblings February 2, 2022 / 17:54

Beijing was one of the busiest cities I’ve ever seen, and such a contrast to the tranquillity of that garden!

Hi Keith How gorgeous. With what camera are those taken? The attention to details in those gardens are unreal.

thanks so much, Mareli. Actually, they were taken with a little Sony pocket camera! They certainly were very organised!

This reminds me of the Chinese and Japanese Garden in the Huntington Library gardens where we went a few times a year when living in Southern California. So many beautiful flowers. A Chinese garden always has a round bridge (the one in San Francisco is really round! Only the very fit could go on there! Umm what am I going to eat tonight? Probably Dutch or American:)

    • Keith's Ramblings's avatar Keith's Ramblings February 3, 2022 / 11:34

It sounds delightful and I bet the bridge was worth the effort! I hope you enjoyed your feast!

Oh, you mean the doughnut feast of my daughter and kids? Never a dull moment at her house:)

Lovely garden. I really like the contrast of colors and abstract shapes. It reminds of the gardens I saw in Suzhou, China, a city renowned for them.

    • Keith's Ramblings's avatar Keith's Ramblings February 3, 2022 / 11:44

Thanks so much. This garden was actually in Suzhou and a delight to visit.
