62066ccd_oI was in the kid’s section of the library when my friend Rosey strolled around the corner.  She asked what I was after.  ‘Dahl books’, I said.

Ever helpful, she suggested I try the science section because those books are really dull.

‘No, books by Roald Dahl,’ I said.

She said her favourite of his is The Twit! Can’t think why!

She wanted a book on French Cuisine. ‘Look in the Quizzing section,’ I said.  She thought for a moment, pulled a face then punched my shoulder!

I’ve just had a text inviting me round to try her ‘cockinavan’.  I can’t wait!

    Nice way with words. Having never before heard of “the Twits’, I looked it up. It has even been made into a movie.

      Me too Rochelle! I’m a fairly recent convert to recording my stories and I did it as a result of listening to your audios and a couple of others. It brings an extra dimension to the written piece.

    Lots of fun here, although I am not sure that Rosey has used her French Cooking book, I wonder what she is up to. Enjoy your meal on wheels (in the van).

      I think he found the French dishes too difficult to understand let alone pronounce! Hopefully, I’ll get chicken in wine not a meal on wheels!
