I can see everything from up here. I can see you!
I sit among the clouds. White ones are the most comfortable, soft and fluffy. Grey ones aren’t so good, I get a damp bottom, but it’s worthwhile.
You’d be amazed what I saw happening on the beach yesterday, my binoculars steamed up! As for the goings-on behind beach hut twenty-two, words fail me. I had to pop my eyes back!
I bet you’re wondering if I saw what you did the other day. Don’t worry, your secret’s safe.
And if you believe any of that twaddle …. you’re sillier than me!

Thanks to Rochelle for hosting and to Bradley Harris for the picture.

Nah. Didn’t believe a word of it. Well, maybe a word. Maybe two
I won’t ask which two! Cheers, Neil.
Haha! Brilliant story Keith.
Pleased you liked it, Sadje!
👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Haha! A good one Keith 😀
Thanks so much!
Oh, i think some of it may be accurate, like what you might see going on if you spy long enough!
You may be right Mimi!
Peep-and-Tell Anonymous And “saw what you did with who” could hint of blackmail.
Indeed it could!
Life on cloud nine could get people into trouble, but then who knows?
I quite agree James!
Dear Keith,
A little silliness never hurts anything, does it? Laughter is a great antidepressant. Always fun to hear you read.
Shalom,
Rochelle
Not for many years has laughter been more important! Thanks, Rochelle.
I deny everything! I must say, that beach sounds like the place to be though!! Good fun Keith 🙂
Too late mate! It all happens down there!
I am only willing to be as silly as you, nor more, no less. Well done, Keith.
Seems we’re on the same page Bill! Cheers matey.
he must be really high on something to think like that. just kidding. 🙂
Sky-high!
You just made Care Bears creepy (they watch from the clouds). Enjoyed this.
So they do, seems I’ve joined their clan! Thanks, Tannille.
Spy-a-lot Bear! 😀
What an endearing story. Drone voyeurism is easier than ever these days. Last summer I met one of my sons for lunch where he works. We pulled out the bag chairs and sat on the lawn at the edge of the parking lot and ate our sandwiches. As we were talking I noticed a whirring noise and looked up. About 20 feet in the air a drone was hovering, watching, and maybe listening.
It wasn’t me, I promise! We are being constantly watched these days and drones are the latest devices to intrude on our privacy. Thanks, Lisa.
Keith, in your story, I was imagining the cloudwatcher as a magical being rather than a drone, but then I wouldn’t have been able to share my drone story 😉
I’m pleased you did Lisa!
Yikes! Excuse me while I go close the curtains. Not that I’m doing anything untoward, mind…
I believe you, Ali!
Peeping Tom! Good one, Keith
He certainly is! Cheers, Neel.
I believe every word… about the grey clouds. The rest… nah. Great fun and imagination.
Better than nothing! Thanks so much.
There are those who live for this stuff… peeping at others’ lives… He best keep to his area of the sky, though!
There are, and some make careers of it – journalists I believe they’re called!
Hahaha! You’ve got that right!
Ha! And it reminds me of a child I knew who’d gotten binoculars for his birthday, and discovered that neighbors’ windows are more … um … immediately informative … than stars …
Haha! I wonder how many youngsters have got up to that!
Numbers unknown … 😉
That’s exactly why I only go outside on clear days. That was a fun one.
Very wise, especially if you’re up to no good!
well, it may be half truth, who can be sure
You never know, who indeed?
Imaginative take on the prompt, Keith. The last time I went to St Ives in Cornwall somebody was flying a drone over the beach. There was no hanky-panky, though – far too many people!
How annoying that must have been, buzzing around like a pesky hornet!
This made me smile, which at the present time is extra valuable.
Thanks so much for dropping by, Michael. I do hope things are improving for you.
When I think about loved ones who have died I often wonder if they are “with me”, you know keeping an eye out for me, listening to me. But then you think, wait! I don’t know if I want everyone having this open window to everything I do! Lol. Its tricky!
I often think that myself!! Things could get awkward when you eventually meet up with them ‘up there’!
Haha! Right?!?!
Thank you for making me laugh – and now I’m wondering what I could see if I could hover unseen in the clouds for a while. Plenty of material for creative writing, I bet.
Beach Hut 22, now that’s oddly specific. Fortunately, I have no idea what you’re talking about. 😉 Fun story, well told!
