for Wordless Wednesday and others!
My home town of Bexhill-on-Sea lit up for Christmas on Friday! I took a few pictures on my mobile phone (116 to be precise!) and the few usable ones are here! I really should have taken my camera!
Some of the many stalls
.

.
.
Here’s the Town Cryer- Oh yea, oh yea!

.
There was quite a bit of entertainment
‘
.

… and some dear folk warbling carols.

.
There were some festive cars ...
.

… and a merrygoround!

.
Here’s a very tall fairy …
.
… and a little dog!
.
Some of the shopkeepers made an effort too
.

.
There was a parade …
.
…Father Christmas came hurtling past!
Good job it wasn’t windy!
There was a tree of course. A bit disappointing, but never mind!
I’ll spare you the other 98! Happy nearly-Christmas!
Do add your link to join in the fun!
Quite festive

Very festive photos, Keith. I didn’t not see one person in any of them wearing masks or maintaining social distancing (except maybe you?) Has your neck of the woods vanquished covid? If so, bravo! The State I live in, Michigan, has the highest rate of cases in the US now 😦

All rules about mask wearing and social distancing in England were dropped some time ago, although from last week we have to start wearing masks in shops and on public transport again thanks to the new strain. Enjoying the freedom while we can! I hope you’re managing to dodge it Lisa.

Your area is doing well compared to around here. I am still pretty much in isolation. When I go around others it’s outdoors and definitely masked up if I have to go indoors (the library is the main place, to pick up and drop off and that’s virtually deserted most of the time.) Groceries are delivered or picked up at curbside. Thanks for asking, Keith ❤

Oh my, that is quite a big event! It looks like a lot of fun and everyone sure seemed to be enjoying themselves. We always regret not having the big camera along but sometimes it is just so bulky and hard to carry we don’t take it along.

Exactly. My main aim was to enjoy the event, taking pictures was a little extra!

I can’t quite get up enough courage to go out in big crowds yet. Our town had a big holiday celebration last weekend and I was sad to miss it. I love seeing all your photos. You can tell that people are happy to be out-and-about!

At least you have a Christmas market – we don’t have that here yet on this side of the pond. Quite a bit to see, judging from all the pics you took:) Now I hope you have a Christmas tree yourself?

Fortunately, we only missed one year and now they’re back all over the UK! I do have a tree myself, I trust you have too.

Wow so much to do and see! Love the boutique. And all the entertainment, are those classic cars in a parade?

Such a lot, not bad for a small town like ours! The cars were indeed classics, and there were lots of them, all decorated.

It looks lovely. I do miss going to the Christmas markets, but due to my medication my immune system is very poor and I can’t risk it. I will enjoy yours instead.
