He’s very reserved, nothing upsets him, nothing excites him, he’s never been known to show emotion.
Recently, his faithful dog died, it happens, someone damaged his car, that happens, his house was burgled, never mind, the doctor said he was ill, he just shrugged his shoulders.
He plays the Lotto without expecting to win, but last Saturday when he turned on the television to check his numbers, he discovered he had won, a considerable amount in fact!
“‘That’s nice” he muttered as he switched off the TV and got back to reading his book.
