For Sammi’s Weekend Writing Prompt where the given word is Question and the limit, 84 words

.
I can’t explain what happened that night, it was surreal.
I heard a voice. It was answering questions I should have asked but never dared to. Either I’d feared the answer or simply couldn’t face knowing the truth.
In those few moments, like it or not, I learned much about the perplexities and quandaries buried deep within me.
It stopped. I closed my eyes. I swear I heard laughter, suggesting not everything I’d been told was necessarily the truth.
And so, the questions remain.
.

A profound post Keith.
I thought it would make a change! Cheers Sadje.
🙏🏼👍🏼
Keith,
As usual, the graphic complements your post wonderfully. It’s the nature of visions or oracles, isn’t it, to be ambiguous. Love your use of the prompt in this way.

dora
Indeed it is Dora, ambiguous and thought-provoking. Thank you so much for your kind words. it makes it all worthwhile!
My pleasure!
Now you’ll never know! As Charlie Brown would say. “Rats.”
Too right, rats indeed!
And so, remain they do … but are still good to ask. I think …
I think so too, but I’m not entirely sure! Cheers, Na’ama.
🙂
Some things it’s best not to know.
I tell myself that often!
Asking the questions is always good, but I think everyone must answer for themsleves. Great piece, Keith.
I can’t help but agree! Thanks so much.
Ooh, very cryptic, Keith! I was waiting for the punchline then realised we were on another plane today. I want to know what happens next. Great response 🙂
Nothing beats a bit of crypticism now and again! I’d like to know too, if the voice returns I let you know!
Ha ha! Please do 🙂
Love it and the imagery – perfect
So kind of you to say so, thank you.
“I want answers, and I demand the answers I want.”
Excellent one, Keith. Deep but real. 🙂
Absolutely so! So pleased you liked it Bill.
Of course, Keith.
Good one, Keith. It was nice hearing you read it.
Nice of you to say so, thanks so much.
