My photo was on the front of a national newspaper the other day.
Above it, the headline said Hero Risks Life in Knife Attack.
I’d been walking along when I saw two people arguing. I noticed one was clutching a blade. They started to fight. Someone had to step in and break it up.
That’s me with the other onlookers straining my neck to get a better view.

I should have known your story would have a twist! Very cute.
I just can’t help myself! Cheers, Denise.
This made me chuckle.
I’m pleased! Thanks so much.
Great end twist–and a smart one. Years ago a coworker’s boyfriend stepped in to try and stop a dispute and was stabbed to death for his effort.
That’s dreadful. I can’t say I’d have a go.
Great twist Keith
Thanks, Sadje!
You’re welcome
Typical .. but oh so sensible! Cheers H
Just another rubber-necker! Thanks Hilary
Ha yes that would be me too!!

We don’t see many knife fights here in Texas. Too dangerous now that we’re five days into the new open carry law. Of course, once again, Keith pitches a story to make cut us up with a bit of laughter. Tip-o-me cap to the rambling story teller and proper humorist.
Thanks so much for your lovely words Bill, they’re much appreciated.
In the UK knife crime is rapidly on the increase. We don’t have a gun culture so shootings are very rare. As you may know, our police on the street are unarmed.
You’re welcome, Keith. I did know.
We only get some BBC (edited for USA) news here, but I’ve not seen much press on mass murders by knife wilding red-necks. 🙂
A very smart ending, in many ways!
Thanks, Mimi!
Delightful twist. Your fifiten minutes of fame! Or would that be five minutes?
…if that Lorraine! Thanks so much.
Fantastic set-up! Totally well done – with knife like precision!
See what you did there! Thanks for dropping by.
couldn’t help myself 😉
Hilarious 😂
